The Huntington Announces The Cast And Creative Team Of Taylor Mac World Premiere Play JOY AND PANDEMIC

The Huntington announces the cast and creative team of Joy and Pandemic, a new play by renowned playwright and performance artist Taylor Mac and directed by Huntington Artistic Director Loretta Greco, making her Huntington directorial debut. The world premiere production runs from April 21 – May 21, 2023 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA at 527 Tremont Street in the South End.

The August Wilson African American Cultural Center Hosts A TASTE OF THE AMERICAN CENTURY

The August Wilson African American Cultural Center has announced the final event of the first season of Beyond the Red Door, a unique experiential event series that expands on the permanent exhibition August Wilson: The Writer's Landscape. The event, titled “A Taste of the American Century,” will take place on Wednesday, April 26th at 5:30 pm in the transformed AWAACC café.

Center Theatre Group's L.A. Writers' Workshop Selects New Cohort

Since 2005, more than 100 playwrights have had their work fostered through Center Theatre Group's L.A. Writers' Workshop and more are set to join. This new cohort for the L.A. Writers' Workshop includes six local playwrights who will spend a year researching and writing a new work with the feedback of their fellow writers and Center Theatre Group's artistic staff. These playwrights are Amy Berryman, Inda Craig-Galván, Isaac Gómez, Ramiz Monsef, christopher oscar peña, and Jasmine Sharma.

Charlotte Conservatory Theatre (Witch), the Queen City's newest professional performing arts company, has announced that their second production, Selina Fillinger's recent Broadway smash POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, will extend its run to Cain Center for the Arts from April 26-29.
