The Axelrod Performing Arts Center, New Jersey's newest professional theater, announces an exciting lineup of main-stage musicals for the 2019 season, including "Mamma Mia!," Elton John and Tim Rice's "Aida," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and "Guys and Dolls."
Broadway veterans, R.Evolucion Latina's students from adult and children's program and volunteers joined hands to support the organization and its yearly programming at Harlem School of the Arts. The Dance-A-Thon is not only a fundraiser but also an annual reflection of the organization's mission.
For the past 6 years, R.Evolucion Latina (RL) has come together as a community to raise funds by daring to go beyond by dancing for 5 hours at their annual Dance-A-Thon. This grassroots event, has raised more than $200,000 since its inception.
BC BEAT, an evening that sells out and is yet intimate, dynamic, and playful, continues to stimulate new collaboration between choreographers, performers, directors, composers, and producers like no other event in New York City. Just ask Patrick McCollum. He was introduced to Steven Hoggett as a possible performer for his BC BEAT piece in 2011. Following their BC BEAT process, McCollum worked nonstop with Hoggett as an Associate Broadway Choreographer and this year, made his Broadway choreographic debut with THE BAND'S VISIT. McCollum is one of the many Broadway artists who have performed and choreographed at BC BEAT and have made the most of the opportunity at hand.
On Monday, April 16th, members of the Broadway Community came together to perform in Visible Ink's 10th Anniversary Live Performance, featuring works written by patients from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Led by special guest stars Marin Mazzie and Susan Lucci, the cast and creative team included actors, singers, dancers, and musicians from film, television, and Broadway. The Production was performed at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, and was directed by Visible Ink's Artistic Director, Greg Kachejian.

New Alternatives provides a range of services designed to help LGBTQ+ youth succeed in transitioning to stable adult lives and welcomes all youth as they are with no barriers to entry. For this event, Craft Your Truth is excited to be teaming up with Caveat, a Lower East Side venue dedicated to intelligent nightlife.

The fall 2016 season of /A•STIR/ which included development of five new musicals, wrapped this week. Thursday, October 27th- R.Evolución Latina's 4th Annual Dance-A-Thon raised $53,811, doubling last years total after 6 weeks of fundraising. Donors, volunteers, supporters and Broadway performers joined fundraisers on Saturday October 22nd as they completed their commitment to dance for 5 hours at Slate NYC. Online contributions continued through the day as artists, RL campers and community members came together to celebrate music and dance from the past 6 decades starting with the 1950s.
