Producers and Presidents of the Prom Committee Dori Berinstein, Bill Damaschke, Jack Lane and Timothy Laczynski announced today that the hilarious new Broadway musical comedy THE PROM will begin performances on Sunday, October 21, 2018 and officially open on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street).

It was announced today that the hilarious new Broadway musical comedy THE PROM will star Tony Award Nominee Brooks Ashmanskas (Something Rotten!), Tony Award Winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), two-time Tony Award Nominee Christopher Sieber (Shrek the Musical), Caitlin Kinnunen (Bridges of Madison County), Isabelle McCalla (Aladdin), Michael Potts (Jitney), Angie Schworer (The Producers), Courtenay Collins (Broadway Debut) and Josh Lamon (Groundhog Day) and will officially open on Broadway on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at a Shubert theater to be announced.

Producers and co-Presidents of the Prom Committee Dori Berinstein and Bill Damaschke announced today that the hilarious new Broadway musical comedy THE PROM will officially open on Broadway on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at a Shubert theater to be announced.

The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2016-2017 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 18, to patrons and industry artists.

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright (I AM MY OWN WIFE, GREY GARDENS) joined in the immediate standing ovation for star Vince Gatton on opening night of Amy Corcoran's site-specific staging of I AM MY OWN WIFE for Two Turns Theatre Company at RePOP, a vintage and oddity show space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Two Turns Theatre Company will present an intimate and freshly interpreted production of Doug Wright's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning play, I Am My Own Wife, about the infamous German transvestite Charlotte von Mahlsdorf. Directed by Amy Corcoran and starring Drama Desk nominee Vince Gatton, the play will be performed in and among the furniture, art, clothing and taxidermy of RePOP (143 Roebling St., Brooklyn, NY 11211), Williamsburg's noted vintage shop. Performances begin tonight, September 23 and will run through October 4. I Am My Own Wife will perform Todays through Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

EMMY Award-Winner Bruce Vilanch stars in RUBBLE, a new comedy by EMMY Award-Winning 'The Simpsons' writer, Mike Reiss. Broadway veteran and 'The Sopranos' star Jerry Adler also joins him in the show. RUBBLE is directed by James Valletti, and runs for five performances at The Players Theater, beginning today, August 10th and continuing on the 14th, 22nd, 24th, and 25th.
