KYO-SHIN-AN ARTS Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

KYO-SHIN-AN ARTS is a contemporary music organization celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season. From groundbreaking to mainstream, over the last decade KSA has built and promoted a wide body of new classical repertoire combining Japanese and Western instruments. Commissions to date total 27 composers for 45 new works. 2018-19 continues KSA's annual five-concert series at the Tenri Cultural Institute in Manhattan and marks the launch of its next decade with a distinctive, two-year 'Septet Commissioning Project.'

Cast has been announced for Jordan Seavey's HOMOS, OR EVERYONE IN AMERICA the opening production of Pride Films and Plays second full season in the Pride Arts Center at 4139 and 4147 N. Broadway. Jordan Seavey's play follows the relationship of two thirtyish gay male Brooklyn, New Yorkers over a five-year period.

Greenwich and Docklands International Festival Announces Full 2017 Program

Artistic Director Bradley Hemmings today announces the full programme for this summer's Greenwich + Docklands International Festival (GDIF), London's leading festival of outdoor theatre and performing arts, which takes place from 23 June to 8 July in locations across Royal Greenwich, Docklands and Tower Hamlets. It follows the previous announcement in March of eight newly commissioned productions.
New Amsterdam Singers to Present LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

New Amsterdam Singers (NAS), led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will present its final concert of the season titled "Life Is But a Dream," featuring premieres of works by American composers Robert Paterson, Ronald Perera, and Ben Moore inspired by poetry and folk melodies, and a World-Premiere Commission based on Shakespeare texts by Matthew Harris in honor of the chorus's upcoming 50th anniversary. The concert will take place Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 8:00 p.m., at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, 554 West End Avenue (at 87th Street).
