Local Ridgefield, CT talent combines with professional Broadway talent to bring an excellent performance of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT to the Ridgefield Playhouse. This adaptation of the Biblical account of Joseph, son of Jacob, is put to music in a way that sends positive messages while keeping the audience entertained.

Broadway comes to Ridgefield! The cast for the upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been announced by director Daniel C. Levine and it's chock-full of Broadway stars - Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) is Pharaoh, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) is Joseph and Christine Dwyer (Wicked) is the Narrator. The show runs Saturday, February 24th at 2pm and 8pm and Sunday, February 25th at 2pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse. Part of Ridgefield Magazine's Broadway & Cabaret Series, this is a unique and captivating concert production of this classic Andrew Lloyd Webber smash-hit Broadway musical!

Last night Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle performed her cabaret show titled Frances Ruffelle Live(S) in New York at The Green Room 42 and there was no doubt the audience was ecstatic this Englishwoman, Broadway and West End star lives in New York. The produces of the show promised a widely entertaining ride straight through the core of the most tender hear, fiery passion and loose comic confidence of a seasoned performer at the height of her game and they were spot on with that prediction. Francis created the iconic role of Eponine in Les Miserables and turned On My Own into one of Broadway's most beloved standards. She has made 5 solo albums and has performed countless West End Shows including her most recent critically acclaimed performance as Queenie in the U.K. Premiere of Michael LaChusa's infamous Wild Party .

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT, created by Adelphi graduate Jonathan Larson ('82), has become a pop culture phenomenon. The Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) opened its doors in the fall of 2008 with the first college production of this beloved musical. We are honored to kick off our 10th anniversary season in a similar fashion with a concert version of the show, featuring a cast of some of Broadway's finest performers.RENT in Concert will be performed on Saturday, September 16 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. on the Westermann Stage, Concert Hall in the Adelphi PAC, 1 South Ave, Garden City, New York.

Music Theatre Wichita opens its 2017 Season, "Hollywood to Broadway: A Summer Festival of Musical Theatre" with the 2002 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, playing June 14-18 in the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS. The food-focused musical, The Most Beautiful Room in New York City recently opened at New Haven's Long Wharf Theatre, bringing with it a tasty tale of love, family, and sacrifice. 

Last night, Broadway's Pamela Bob (Hand to God, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) held a premiere screening of her original TV series "Livin' On A Prairie" Cast, crew and friends gathered at The Brazen Tavern in midtown to watch the 6 episode series created by and starring Pamela Bob. 

Long Wharf Theatre, under the director of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents the world premiere of The Most Beautiful Room in New York, a new musical with book and lyrics by Adam Gopnik and music by David Shire, directed by Edelstein. The production will take place beginning tonight, May 3, and running through May 28, 2017 on the Claire Tow Stage in the C.
