Music Theatre Wichita opens its 2017 Season, "Hollywood to Broadway: A Summer Festival of Musical Theatre" with the 2002 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Thoroughly Modern Millie, playing June 14-18 in the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS. The first of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions, Thoroughly Modern Millie launches the organization's 46th season, which is also the 30th season for producing artistic director Wayne Bryan.

The food-focused musical, The Most Beautiful Room in New York City recently opened at New Haven's Long Wharf Theatre, bringing with it a tasty tale of love, family, and sacrifice. 

Last night, Broadway's Pamela Bob (Hand to God, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) held a premiere screening of her original TV series "Livin' On A Prairie" Cast, crew and friends gathered at The Brazen Tavern in midtown to watch the 6 episode series created by and starring Pamela Bob. 

Long Wharf Theatre, under the director of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents the world premiere of The Most Beautiful Room in New York, a new musical with book and lyrics by Adam Gopnik and music by David Shire, directed by Edelstein. The production will take place beginning tonight, May 3, and running through May 28, 2017 on the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Casting is announced today for Music Theatre Wichita 46th Season, 'Hollywood to Broadway,' featuring five lavish stage musicals inspired by films, including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Hairspray, and the Kansas premieres of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Disney's Newsies.  

This week, Miss Saigon officially flies back to Broadway and its original home, The Broadway Theatre. The original production of Miss Saigon opened on April 11, 1991 and played through January 28, 2001. Margot Astrachan and The Peccadillo Theater Company will present a developmental lab presentation of FANCY, a new musical, on Thursday, March 16 at 4PM and Friday March 17 at 11AM and 3PM at The Westside Theatre, downstairs (407 West 43rd Street).

Steele Spring Stage Rights, the theatrical licensing company that represents 'The Marvelous Wonderettes,' has acquired the performance rights to the acclaimed off-Broadway musical 'Himself and Nora,' with book, music, and lyrics by Jonathan Brielle. Prior to being acquired by Stage Rights, 'Himself and Nora' played off-Broadway at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

On the heels of his debut on the Great White Way, Mark Ballas took to Facebook to share a video of himself and his co-stars warming up with an acoustic version of the famous Four Seasons tune, 'Sherry.' Check out the video below!
