The Axelrod Performing Arts Center reunites with Luis Salgado and the team from Salgado Productions for their third collaboration, 'Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA,' opening today.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center reunites with Luis Salgado and the team from Salgado Productions for their third collaboration, "Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA," opening May 31, 2019. Previously for the theater, Salgado directed and choreographed "In the Heights" in 2017 and "Ragtime The Musical"  in 2018, both of which received nominations for best regional production of a musical.

The original Off-Broadway cast recording of 'Comfort Women: A New Musical' will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music and other streaming sites beginning on December 7th 2018.

Dimo Kim Musical Theatre Factory, a new theatre company providing more roles for Asian American actors has announced the cast of COMFORT WOMEN: A NEW MUSICAL written by Dimo Hyun Jun Kim, Osker David Aguirre, and Joann Malory Miese with music by Bryan Michaels and TaeHo Park

Theater Company will present The Sandy Monologues, an original work using spoken word, song and movement that was inspired by the actual words of Hurricane Sandy survivors. This production, slated for June 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, & 12 of 2016, will tackle issues of race & class by zooming in on the lives of a diverse handful of residents who weathered the freak storm that raged from Hispaniola to the Great Lakes The play owes gratitude to the EMMP Tell Your Story Project interviews and the article 'Race, Class and Disaster Gentrification' by Zoltan Gluck.
