When Valley Youth Theatre's remarkably talented cast ~ led by the incomparable duo of 19-year old phenom Kate Brink as daughter Ellie and VYT alum Sarah Ambrose as her mom Katherine ~ takes to the stage in DISNEY'S FREAKY FRIDAY, the audience becomes immersed in the other magic that has consistently been associated with the work of Producing Artistic Director Bobb Cooper. The show runs through June 30th at the Herberger Theater Center's Center Stage in Phoenix.

Founding Artistic Director Fred Anzevino today announced a partial lineup of musicals for the company's second year in residence at the Howard Street Theatre, the venue developed by the City of Evanston specifically for the company.

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) will open the final production in the theatre company's 30th season, Disney's Freaky Friday, The Musical, on Friday, June 14, at The Herberger Theater Center. Imagine -- establishing one character then getting to switch with a fellow actor and playing a totally different character.

Star of the Day Event Productions is honored to bring the Lehigh Valley Community Theatre premiere of Disney's Freaky Friday A New Musical. Performances are at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 21 & 22, with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday, June 23rd.

During one of her frequent arguments with her contrary teenage daughter, Ellie, (played here by Megan Arrington making her RBT debut) the two magically swap bodies. They have just one day to put things right again before Mom's big day. 

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present another More About The Melody concert, which celebrated three generations of a brilliant musical family: Richard Rodgers, Mary Rodgers and Adam Guettel. The very special one-night-only event took place on Monday, May 13.

What good is sitting alone in your room this week? If you don't already have plans to see a Broadway show, come out to see your favorite Broadway stars in a cabaret act instead. After Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Freaky Friday is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic, based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, that was developed by Disney Theatrical Productions expressly for licensing to theatres.   Freaky Friday is currently playing until May 18th at Circle Theatre in Grand Rapids. It features a book by Bridget Carpenter, the co-executive producer and writer of the beloved television hits, Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, the Pulitzer Prize-winning composers of Next to Normal and If/Then.  Circle Theatre's cast of performers, combined with an awesome orchestra will have you humming the songs for days after, since they are that catchy.  You will also be laughing at the many comical moments in the show!

Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with Curtis Stigers with The Birdland Big Band, Konrad Paszkudzki and Pasquale Grasso, Dr. Monty Alexander, and more!

Circle Theatre will host a VIP Mother's Day Reception in the lower lobby of the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Aquinas College on Sunday, May 12 at 4pm before the performance of Freaky Friday at 5pm.
