Richarda Abrams' new play, 'Big Mama and Me,' explores the intergenerational relationship between a grandmother and granddaughter. Set in the South and Midwest, the play tells the story of Big Mama, a patented inventor and accomplished composer, and the impact she had on those around her. Presented by RPR Productions, the world premiere runs from March 6-9 at the Episcopal Actors Guild in NYC. Featuring music direction by Amina Claudine Myers and co-production by Peggy Abrams.

 The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW) will present its annual Theatre Women Awards on March 27th from 1 to 3 p.m., at The Green Fig Restaurant, Yotel Hotel, 570 10th Ave, New York, NY 10036.

Richarda Abrams new play BETHUNE: Our Black Velvet Rose opened on October 9 at Theaterlab in New York City. The World Premiere is hosted by TLab Shares, produced by RPR Production and runs until October 23. TLab Shares hosts RPR Productions in The World Premiere of BETHUNE: Our Black Velvet Rose. The production runs October 7 - 23 with an official opening date of October 9 at Theaterlab in New York City.

The Town Hall opens its 2022/23 concert series spotlighting women composers who have shaped American culture with the New York premiere of Meredith Monk's MEMORY GAME, Saturday, October 15 (8 pm).

The Town Hall has announced details on a series of concerts spotlighting four esteemed women composers who have shaped American culture over the decades: the “Mother of Contemporary Gospel music,” Dr. Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark; legendary singer-songwriter Judy Collins; acclaimed opera composer Laura Kaminsky; and trailblazing composer/singer Meredith Monk.

Registration opens on March 1 for the 2022 spring semester at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College (OLLI at Ringling College), which runs March 14-May 27, 2022. The semester features dozens of classes and programs covering a wide variety of topics. Classes are offered in-person on the Ringling College Museum Campus and online via the Zoom platform.

Featuring Grammy-winning musician Chris Thile and special guests Cécile McLorin Salvant and Sullivan Fortner, Zakir Hussain and Ganesh Rajagopalan, Damon Daunno, and Timo Andres (with more to be announced soon), the concert will commemorate the remarkable history of The Town Hall.

The Town Hall has announced the conclusion of its current virtual season this July as well as unveiling its 2021-2022 centennial in-person season. From music and comedy to politics and LGBTQIA+ events, The Town Hall's upcoming programming is as eclectic and diverse as the famed building itself.  

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts recently made a very special delivery thanks to the support of Disney. Kravis education team members dropped off more than 500 craft kits to Title I elementary school students throughout Palm Beach County.
