Producers Martin Platt and David Elliott with Mary Cossette, Jamie deRoy, Riki Kane Larimer, Richard Winkler, and Mike Blank, have announced the limited engagement of the critically acclaimed New York premiere of Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose, the new play written by and starring Ed Dixon (Sunset Boulevard, Les Miserables) with direction by Eric Schaeffer (Follies, Million Dollar Quartet) will conclude its Off-Broadway run on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at The Loft at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues) where performances began January 25, 2017. At closing, Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose will have played 8 preview and 54 regular performances. A national tour is planned for later this summer.

The 2016 Drama League Award Nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award were just announced this morning at Sardi's, by Aladdin stars Adam Jacobs, Courtney Reed and James Monroe Iglehart. Martin Platt and David Elliott (Perry Street Theatricals) announce a workshop presentation of Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose, directed by Eric Schaeffer and written by and starring Ed Dixon, on April 11, 2016. The presentation will run 90 minutes, with no intermission.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing firms, will hold another in its Sunday Seminars series, focused on the culture, business and history of Off Broadway on Sunday, February 7th, 2016.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that DAMES AT SEA will play its final performance at the Helen Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street), Sunday January 3, 2016, at 3pm.  DAMES AT SEA will have played 32 preview and 85 regular performances, having opened Thursday, October 22, 2015.
