Penguin Rep Theatre's 2015 season officially begins tonight, May 15, 2015, with the New York premiere of Small World by Frederick Stroppel, directed by artistic director Joe Brancato.

TheatreSquared (T2) Artistic Director Robert Ford and Executive Director Martin Miller today revealed the lineup for the 2015 Arkansas New Play Festival, Arkansas's premier celebration of new works for the American stage. Five plays will be developed over three intensive weeks with playwrights in residence at TheatreSquared, and performed for the public June 18-28, 2015.

Agatha Christie's classic whodunit, 'The Mousetrap,' will be presented as a Script in Hand playreading at Westport Country Playhouse, on Monday, December 15, at 7 p.m. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $15 each.

The Hangar's Acting Out on the Hangar Stage, Community Charades Challenge took place on Saturday, October 18. With the support of the community - through donations to four teams of participants, the purchase of auction items, and ticket sales - the Hangar was able to reach its fundraising goal for the event, which supports the theatre's educational programming, raising a total of $26,000. Finishing out its 40th Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre will be producing the regional premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, Other Desert Cities. Directed by Mark Shanahan, who is making his Hangar Theatre directing debut, Other Desert Cities will run from July 31, until August 9, 2014. Join the cast, crew, and Hangar staff on opening night, Friday, August 1 at 8pm at the Hangar Theatre, as they celebrate the last show of their 40th Anniversary of the Mainstage Season. While some of these artists are returning to the Hangar from past production favorites, others, including new Artistic Director Jen Waldman, will be making their Hangar debut.
