Script in Hand Productions Remain Popular at the Playhouse

Casting is announced for the Script in Hand playreading of 'Pack of Lies,' a provocative spy thriller, at Westport Country Playhouse, on Monday, March 10, 7 p.m. Actors, all alumni of previous Playhouse productions, include 'House of Cards' stars Jayne Atkinson and Michel Gill, and four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines, as well as Kathleen McNenny, Alexis Molnar, Mark Shanahan, and Zoe Winters. Tickets are $15. Based on a true story, the play is written by Hugh Whitemore and directed by Anne Keefe.

Florida Repertory Theatre has announced the opening of The Hound of the Baskervilles, a new farce where NOTHING is elementary and three actors take on countless characters as they try to solve the classic mystery.

This summer's offering is Agatha Christie's ever-suspenseful and surprisingly humorous THE HOLLOW, which is the 22nd Agatha Christie show the Alley has produced in their 66-year history.

Beginning in July 2013, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's The Hollow during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series. Under the direction of Gregory Boyd, the Alley's resident company of actors will bring to life the colorful cast of characters in Agatha Christie's The Hollow.

Having played Sherlock Holmes in The Crucifer of Blood (2009) and Sherlock Holmes (2003), Alley Theatre Company Artist Todd Waite will again play the iconic and illustrious detective in a spectacular, lavish production. The Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) has announced it will resume performances of its world-premiere production of Douglas McGrath's play CHECKERS starting tomorrow, Sunday, November 4th at 3 p.m. The play's new opening night is now set for Thursday, November 8th.

Due to extensive power outages in downtown Manhattan as a result of the hurricane, Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St. in Union Square) is cancelling performances of its world-premiere production of CHECKERS until further notice, starting this evening, Tuesday, October 30.
