Michael Gill, Boyd Gaines, Jayne Atkinson & More to Lead Westport Country Playhouse's PACK OF LIES Reading, 3/10

Casting is announced for the Script in Hand playreading of 'Pack of Lies,' a provocative spy thriller, at Westport Country Playhouse, on Monday, March 10, 7 p.m. Actors, all alumni of previous Playhouse productions, include 'House of Cards' stars Jayne Atkinson and Michel Gill, and four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines, as well as Kathleen McNenny, Alexis Molnar, Mark Shanahan, and Zoe Winters. Tickets are $15. Based on a true story, the play is written by Hugh Whitemore and directed by Anne Keefe.

BWW Reviews: The Alley's SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE SUICIDE CLUB Disappoints With Bland, Underwhelming Writing

The Alley Theatre is currently presenting Jeffrey Hatcher's 2011 literary mash-up SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE SUICIDE CLUB. The play had its world premiere at The Arizona Theatre Company, and garnered mixed to positive reviews. In the play Jeffrey Hatcher attempts the tall order of mixing the literary genius and worlds of Arthur Conan Doyle and Robert Louis Stevenson. The end result is a bland mystery with an entirely underwhelming climax.

Vineyard Theatre Resumes Performances of CHECKERS Tomorrow, 11/4

The Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) has announced it will resume performances of its world-premiere production of Douglas McGrath's play CHECKERS starting tomorrow, Sunday, November 4th at 3 p.m. The play's new opening night is now set for Thursday, November 8th.

Vineyard Theatre Cancels CHECKERS Until Further Notice

Due to extensive power outages in downtown Manhattan as a result of the hurricane, Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St. in Union Square) is cancelling performances of its world-premiere production of CHECKERS until further notice, starting this evening, Tuesday, October 30.
