What makes ReCON$truXion an all-American world premiere?

ALABAMA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL will present the world premiere of ReCON$truXion, a new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan. The production will showcase innovative storytelling and themes relevant to contemporary society.

Edinburgh looks very different this Christmas to any other year in recent memory. The Light in the Piazza, a romantic, incandescent musical by Craig Lucas (book) and Adam Guettel (music and lyrics) about family secrets and the pursuit of happiness, opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on Friday, April 3 at 8PM at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. Winner of six 2005 Tony Awards, including Best Original Score, the show runs through April 26, with specially priced previews on April 1 and 2 (7:30PM). Bruce Linser directs.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) opens its 70th season with Anton Chekhov's “The Cherry Orchard” adapted by Jean-Claude van Itallie. John Miller-Stephany will direct. For the first time in the 19-year history of Light of Day WinterFest, the "main event" of the 10-day, three-state festival, the star-studded "Bob's Birthday Bash," long SOLD OUT, will be broadcast LIVE via fiber optic cable during LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST '19.

Three theatres in one of the country's smallest states have a big idea.  Vermont's Dorset Theatre Festival, Northern Stage, and Weston Playhouse Theatre Company are creating an historic partnership to bring British playwright Alan Ayckbourn's celebrated comic trilogy, The Norman Conquests, to their stages in the spring and summer of 2016.  More than a year in the planning, the collaboration has three nationally prominent directors working with the same cast and creative team on successive productions of the three plays in White River Junction, Dorset, and Weston.
