LA Opera presents one of opera's most beloved classics, Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème, opening the 2019/20 season on September 14.

The Bridge Initiative: Women+ in Theatre (TBI) announces its next production, ROAR! A Celebration, to be presented at Tempe Center for the Arts, Saturday, September 14th, 7:30 p.m. This one-night-only event offers original music, dance, spoken word, and testimony to what it means to be women and non-binary individuals in America today. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Southwest Indigenous Women's Coalition (www.swiwc.org) and TBI is also partnering with Arizona Jews for Justice to collect goods for asylum seekers.

Silk Road Rising and International Voices Project announce the World Premiere of Twice, Thrice, Frice, written by Fouad Teymour and directed by Patrizia Acerra. The production will run from October 1 to November 10, 2019 at Silk Road Rising located at 77 W. Washington St., Lower Level, Chicago, IL, 60602. The Press Opening is Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 4:00pm.

Eastern Music Festival (EMF), Greensboro's nationally recognized classical music festival and summer educational program, just concluded a successful 2019 season of stellar performances and educational enrichment. The 58th Festival ran June 22 - July 27.

The creators of Antigona, the widely acclaimed and wildly popular flamenco adaptation of Sophocles's Antigone, return to San Francisco's Z Space with their hit program Entre Tú y Yo (Between You and Me). Conceived, choreographed, and directed by Noche Flamenca Artistic Director Martín Santangelo and lead dancer Soledad Barrio, Entre Tú y Yo explores through dance the possibilities afforded and constraints imposed by relationships. Joined by some of Spain's most celebrated flamenco artists, legendary dancer Soledad Barrio stars in this evening-length program of duets, solos, and ensemble works, conceived and directed by Martín Santangelo.

The San Diego Symphony announced today that construction will begin in September on its highly anticipated permanent bayside concert venue to be located in the Port of San Diego's Embarcadero Marina Park South on the San Diego Bay with the first concerts scheduled for summer 2020. The new upgraded park and venue will feature a permanent, highly innovative, architecturally striking and acoustically superior outdoor stage that will allow the Symphony to present a wider variety of musical presentations and enrich the patron experience with improved sightlines, expanded concession area and permanent bathrooms. The Symphony's project transforms a public park into a welcoming community gathering space that will host a wider range of performances and musical events. As the only outdoor performance space and active park on the West Coast, Bayside Performance Park will provide San Diego with a world-class destination that serves year-round as an event space and landmark waterfront attraction.

Last night, at their performance in the David Rubenstein Atrium for Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, the award-winning violinist Tessa Lark and virtuoso composer and bassist Michael Thurber  announced the release of Invention, their debut recording as a duo. Invention is anchored by J.S. Bach's Two-Part Inventions and fuses the pair's classical and American music influences into a wholly original sound.

Launching the next chapter in his already critically-acclaimed career, multi-talented singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and producer Patrick Grossi today makes his Sony Music Masterworks debut as Active Child with the release of “All Eyes on You” – available everywhere now.  The first of new music from Active Child in over two years, “All Eyes on You” was co-produced by Andrew Sarlo (Bon Iver, Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker) and features Joey Waronker (Beck, Elliott Smith, R.E.M.) on drums. The track originally made its debut via The FADER, who describe the R&B-tinged love song as, 'something of a rebirth for Grossi and Active Child, who now calls major label Sony its home. July 25, 2019 The best and most satisfying way to beat the heat and be delightfully entertained on a boiling hot summer day in the San Fernando Valley is to head to Marina del Rey, to Burton Chase Park on a designated Thursday to see and hear an exciting orchestra play, take in the lovely surroundings, breathe in the gentle breeze and watch dancers bring alive the superb orchestral offerings. The L A County Supervisor Janice Hahn and The Department of Beaches and Harbors has been presenting these wonderful concert gatherings for many years now, and each year they top themselves. With the amazing and animated Frank Fetta as Artistic Director and Conductor, the fabulous Marina del Rey Orchestra and Nancy Dobbs Owen, who provided the breathtaking choreography for the evening we were treated to an incredible program of music and dance. The program began as the sun began to set in these beautiful surroundings with Igor Stravinsky's (A Russian immigrant who lived in Los Angeles most of his years) Firebird Suite. Before the downbeat, Mr. Fetta recounted his own working experience with Stravinsky here in Los Angeles.
