The legacy of the late legendary actor, director and teacher Stella Adler, will be celebrated with a gala fete and awards ceremony, Stella By Starlight, Monday November 8, in The Grand Ball Room, Pierre Hotel, New York. The evening benefits The Stella Adler Studio of Acting's scholarship programs, inner-city outreach and facilities expansion. The event's co-chairmen, Michael Medavoy, Roy Scheider and Benicio Del Toro head a committee of luminaries from the worlds of theater, film, television and business, many of them alumni of the famed school.

The concert will feature the original Broadway leading ladies Donna Murphy (Fosca) and Marin Mazzie (Clara) and star of the 2002 Kennedy Center production Michael Cerveris (Giorgio) along with other original Broadway cast members.
The stars came out to the Mandarin Oriental New York Hotel on Monday, April 26, 2004 for a special musical tribute to John Kander and Fred Ebb and BroadwayWorld was there to cover it.
There were some wonderful offerings on the stages of Philadelphia and South Jersey last year and this year is proving to be another exciting year for some of Broadway's favorites. Some shows are hot off the Great White Way, while others are fresh new revivals or solid standing favorites. A few shows and events are exciting new premiers that the Philly area theater crowd always welcomes with open arms.
It's been an interesting mix of theater in a city just 90 min. from Broadway. We've hosted our share of tours, mostly the traveling musicals in the main larger venues.
