West Valley Arts will present Footloose, running March 12-28, 2020 at Harman Theatre. With a stellar, local cast, Footloose will have audiences dancing in their seats. San Francisco Conservatory of Music continues to invest in its Vocal and Opera & Musical Theatre programs, with five new high-profile faculty and guest appointments announced today. In the 2020-21 season, SFCM students will benefit from top-tier mentorship from opera superstar Marilyn Horne and world-renowned collaborative pianist Martin Katz, who will join SFCM as Artists-in-Residence; Grammy Award-winning conductor Joel Revzen, a Metropolitan Opera assistant conductor who will lead the spring opera production; and San Francisco Opera coaches Peter Grunberg and César Cañón, who will join SFCM's collaborative piano faculty.

Walker' at Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center that opened in September. Audiences will have the unique experience of seeing the exhibit and hearing an original story that paints an intimate portrait of Walker (1867-1919), who was lauded as a?oethe first black woman millionaire in America.a??

GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents is the sixth performance for Brian Copeland presents The Best of San Francisco Solo Series 2019/20 in partnership with The Marin Cultural Association at The Marin Center's Showcase Theater.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the monthly gathering of the International Order of Sodomites, the centuries-old organization which sets the mythic Gay Agenda - will return to Joe's Pubthis season for regular performances after a three year hiatus. The Meeting*, now the longest-running LGBTQ variety show in New York, is known for its audacious humor, trailblazing political discourse and button-pushing cultural exploration. Sayre will present two different evenings next month, celebrating 'The Ladies of Country' on Monday, March 2, and honoring 'The Ladies of Disco' on Sunday, March 29, both at 9:30 PM. Special guests for March 2 include Bridget Barkan, Melody Berger, Drew Droege, Larry Krone, and Bobby Blue the Balladeer, with additional names to be announced. Shows are scheduled through December 2020, with the spring season continuing on April 26 and May 31. Tracy Stark serves as music director for the series.

American alt-rock supergroup Beauty in Chaos presents their new single, 'A Kind Cruelty' ft. Curse Mackey. This is the first taste of Beauty in Chaos' forthcoming full length album 'The Storm Before The Calm', to be released on May 22 via LA-based label 33.3 Music Collective. Recorded at Ciravolo's own SAINTinLA Studio, it was produced by Michael Rozon, Grammy-nominated for his work with Ministry.

The Bronx Museum of the Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of Jasmine Wahi as the Holly Block Social Justice Curator for exhibitions in 2021, which marks the museum's 50th anniversary. In the role, Wahi will curate exhibitions that highlight the museum's rich history of social activism, with a focus on both emerging and established artists responding to The Bronx.
