International City Theatre opens its 2024 season this weekend with the world premiere of “Marilyn, Mom & Me,” Luke Yankee’s deeply personal, funny and moving story about the unlikely friendship that developed between Marilyn Monroe and the playwright's mother, Broadway legend Eileen Heckart, during the filming of 'Bus Stop' in 1956. Luke Yankee’s Marilyn, Mom & Me world premieres February 16, 2024, at the International City Theatre. Written by Luke, he also directs the cast of Laura Gardner, Alisha Soper, Jacquelin Lorraine Schofield, Brian Rohan and Noah Wagner.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present celebrated actress and vocalist Ruby Lewis, star of Broadway’s Cirque du Soleil, Las Vegas headliner and “Shock Value” recording artist, on Wednesday, January 31 at 9:30 PM.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Anna Strasberg, actress and widow of acting coach Lee Strasberg, has died at age 84. She also served as co-founder of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

In December 2023, the OC welcomed back two powerhouse vocalists who each gave their own respective holiday-themed concerts: Broadway fave Megan Hilty at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa; and recording artist Linda Eder at the Irvine Barclay Theatre. To no one's surprise, both entertained and awed with their spectacular talents.

Jeff Schell and The Habit’s A Very Die Hard Christmas opens December 10, 2023 at Theatre 40. Celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary, Sandro Monetti directs this musical parody with the cast of Nick Versteeg, Lauren Samuels, Jesse Merlin, Raymund King, Nick Bredosky, and Theatre 40 favorites Roslyn Cohn, Joe Clabby and Kristal Dickerson.
