Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota spices things up with the Heat Latin Jazz Band, Sunday, April 18, 3:00 p.m., outdoors at Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota. Heat's seven young artists, most of them also students at Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southwestern State College, perform toe-tapping salsa hits from yesterday and today, showcasing the works of Oscar D'Leon, Celia Cruz, Joe Arroyo, Puerto Rican Power, Gloria Estefan and many more.

Upcoming jazz concerts include a musical tour of world jazz with Bill Buchman's Art of Jazz (March 10 at Plantation Golf & Country Club), the Latin flair of Heat Latin Jazz Band (April 18 at Nathan Benderson Park), and the return of hometown singing sensation Maria Wirries (April 21 at Plantation Golf & Country Club).

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota will present its revised Outdoor Performance Season for Winter-Spring 2021. The nine-concert series will feature many of the same artists that had been planned for the 2020-21 season, as well as some new ones, including a return engagement by hometown singing sensation Maria Wirries.
