Candlelight Dinner Playhouse is thrilled to produce Disney's Tarzan: The Stage Musical. Based on Disney's smash-hit, animated film, Tarzan swings into the Candlelight June 6 - August 25 marking its Northern Colorado stage debut.

Renowned actress Janie Dee is currently playing Phyllis in Follies at the National Theatre. Next month, she takes a break to be part of Hal Cazalet's new musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince. 

What good is sitting alone in your room this week? If you don't already have plans to see a Broadway show, come out to see your favorite Broadway stars in a cabaret act instead. After Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. A one-week extension has been announced today for the Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Curse of the Starving Class by Sam Shepard and directed by Tony Award nominee Terry Kinney. The production will now run April 23 to June 2, 2019 with a Monday, May 13 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.

Film Society's 2019 Screening Series will launch with the original Oscar-winning Disney masterpiece MARY POPPINS (1964), at the Egyptian Theatre on Sunday, April 28th at 5:30 pm. The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy's Percent for Art Program and the Free Library of Philadelphia are pleased to celebrate the completion of Commemorating the Stacks, a new site-specific public artwork at the Parkway Central Library by Philadelphia-based artist Colette Fu.

Shay Mitchell will star Kat Dennings and Brenda Song in Dollface, according to Deadline. Mitchell will play Stella Cole, Madison's (Song) other best friend from college, free spirit, and charming hedonist. She replaces Lex Scott Davis, who was originally cast in the role.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that the New York premiere of Mara Nelson-Greenberg's DO YOU FEEL ANGER?, directed by Margot Bordelon will extend to Saturday, April 27.
