Pipes of Christmas offers a spiritual and traditional take on the season that connects concertgoers to the holiday in a fresh, meaningful way. The show features beloved tunes such as, 'Highland Cathedral,' 'Joy to the World', and 'Amazing Grace', all performed on pipes and drums, harp and fiddle, and organ and brass and more.

PRIMARY STAGES has announced an encore presentation of The Night Watcher by Obie Award winner and Tony Award nominee Charlayne Woodard (In Real Life), which was previously streamed in November 2020. 

The Broadway at Birdland concert series once again presented Broadway cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf (Bridges of Madison County, A Little Night Music), who hosted an evening exploring beautiful melodies from Broadway and beyond.

The Skin of Our Teeth — The story of humankind told through the lives of the Antrobus family. Set in 20th century New Jersey and the Ice Age, Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play is a whirlwind of modernity and antiquity.

The Skin of Our Teeth, the Pulitzer Prize-winning tribute to the indestructibility of the human race by Thornton Wilder, opens on the beautiful outdoor stage at Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum on Saturday,July 13, where performances continue through Sept. 29. 

Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum continues its mission to resist and struggle against the forces of inequality and injustice by presenting socially conscious classics that speak to today. A new version of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, freely adapted by artistic director Ellen Geer and co-directed by Geer and Melora Marshall, joins Theatricum's 2019 summer repertory season beginning Saturday, June 22.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf in her return to the stage with 'More About the Melody: Celtic Night - Songs of Ireland and Scotland,' on Monday, February 4.

We recently wished happy birthday to our resident musical genius Joshua Stephen Kartes at a special open mic event. Singers from Japan to England and back again joined together to showcase their talents. Joshua even enjoyed some very special birthdays serenades's from Jaime Cepero and Margaret Kelly. BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida,Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This week, on a special WEDNESDAY night, Broadway Sessions celebrates musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes birthday with an 'Open Mic Bash!'. 

Second Generation Theatre presents the regional premiere of "THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA" at the Lancaster Opera House  June 2-18th.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its season and concludes its multi-year history cycle with Henry VI: The Wars of the Roses, Part 2 and Richard III, by William Shakespeare. This production is directed by CSC Producing Artistic Director, Brian Isaac Phillips. This production features Cincinnati Shakespeare's Resident Ensemble members including Darnell Pierre Benjamin at King Henry VI, Kelly Mengelkoch as Queen Margaret, and Billy Chace as King Richard III. Vassar & New York Stage and Film, whose 31st Powerhouse Season is underway in Poughkeepsie, have announced additional casting for their summer collaboration, running through August 2.

The singer, songwriter and recording artist Carolyn Montgomery-Forant continued her recent comeback as performed her critically acclaimed 'Visible Phoenix' at the Laurie Beechman Theater, 407 West 42nd Street, a show which took off in October. The flame-throwing wit's first solo show since returning to the stage in January of last year, 'Visible Phoenix' marches on Fridays, March 13, and April 10. All shows are at 7pm. According to mythology, the 'Phoenix' was a bird of great beauty, said to have lived 1,000 years in the Arabian wilderness. The Phoenix burns itself to ashes on an ancient funeral pyre, only to rise again from those ashes with the renewed exuberance of youth. Its renewed life cycle symbolizes the immortality of the spirit, the rebirth of idealism, the essence of creativity, and the aura of eternal hope. With her new show at the Laurie Beechman, Visible Phoenix (which opened October 17 and returned last Friday night), multi-award winner Carolyn Montgomery-Forant has returned to the cabaret stage (after a 14-year hiatus to raise her son and run a cafe business) as the very personification of that rare beautiful bird.
