Student Blog: Views of Theatre Through the Years

Believe it or not, I didn't always enjoy theatre. I have done it for as long as I can remember, but there was about a two year gap when I thought I would be done for good. I wasn't excited about going to rehearsals anymore, I didn't want to perform in front of anyone. Being on stage didn't feel like something I wanted to keep doing. So, I eased out of it by helping with hair, makeup, and crew and then I thought I was done.

Michael Urie, Mallory Portnoy & More Join Fault Line Theatre's IRONS IN THE FIRE

 Fault Line Theatre will continue the 2022 Season of Irons in the  Fire, the organization’s reading series of new plays in development, with God Save the Queer by Zackary Grady, directed by Portia Krieger and featuring Michael Urie (George), Mallory Portnoy (Charlotte), Keshav Moodliar (Tariq), Seth Clayton (Louis), and Mary McCann (Kate).

Renée Elise Goldsberry to Perform at Wharton Center

BWW Review: THE COLOR PURPLE at Roxy's Downtown

If God ever listened to a poor black woman, the world would be a different place. –Celie The Color Purple is currently playing at Roxy’s Downtown. Their production is impressive, powerful, well-cast, and extremely well-wrought, from performances to design elements and direction. Do yourself a favor and get tickets for this show ASAP. The opening week shows were sold out, and I hear the rest of the run is selling out quickly.

Actor, Director, and Teacher Xavier Marc Dies

The federal Ministry of Culture and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, through the Cultural Extension, mourn the death of the renowned actor, teacher and director Xavier Marc, who studied acting at the National School of Theatrical Art (ENAT) of the National Institute of Fine Arts.

Disney's MOANA And MULAN Announced At The El Capitan Theatre
