The national tour of HAMILTON will return to Detroit at the Fisher Theatre November 15 – December 4, 2022.

Teatro SEA’s annual festival of Latin American arts and culture, Arte Pa’ Mi Gente/Arts for All, returns to the outdoors this August.

Tony, Grammy, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, Tom Kitt, will present two special encore performances of his new solo concert, Reflections, on Monday, July 18, and Tuesday, July 26, at Feinstein’s/54 Below (254 West 54th St), returning to the venue after a sold-out performance of the same show in May 2022.

All new photos have been released from the West End production of Mary Poppins, as Louis Gaunt takes over the role of Bert. Gaunt replaces Charlie Stemp whilst he performs as Bobby in the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Crazy for You this summer. 

Single tickets for HAMILTON at the Hult Center will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m. online and in person at the Hult Center Box Office. Tickets will be available for performances Sept. 13–25, 2022. HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway.

The Broadway phenomenon that is HAMILTON is back in the Crescent City. This epic, historical reimaging by Lin-Manuel Miranda is currently running at the Saenger Theatre now through July 10th. As one of the most impactful musicals to ever hit the bar, the question isn’t so much are you going, but when are you going. The special presentation includes live musical performances and features brand-new sets and costumes inspired by the classic story. Each performance is created to pay homage while also adding to the iconic story for viewers at home. Songs from the original animated classic will be performed in front of a live audience at Disney Studios.

Hamilton has announced that booking is extending at the Victoria Palace Theatre to 3 March 2023.  In addition, the first of new production images have been released.

Rehearsals are under way for a new production of Noël Coward’s Brief Encounter, adapted for the stage by Emma Rice, at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre this summer in a co-production with Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, and Octagon Theatre, Bolton.

In the Heights will open at Music Mountain Theatre this Friday and run through July 24! Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM.

The national tour of Freestyle Love Supreme lands at the Pasadena Playhouse July 12, 2022. This theatrical creation of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail and Anthony Veneziale’s received a Special Tony Award in 2020. I had a very delightful phoner with cast member Aneesa Folds.

June 22nd through July 10th, The Bushnell is The Room Where It Happens. On Tuesday evening, I had the pleasure of seeing the Hamilton National Tour alongside a fully packed house of diehard fans, who bopped along in their seats with delight and delivered a well-deserved standing ovation. I know it’s cliché to say Hamilton is excellent, but it’s excellent.

The Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, an organization that develops and advocates for new Latiné-written works of musical theatre in order to radically change who gets to tell musical stories on stages across the country, is presenting its inaugural Julia de Burgos Cohort.

FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME creator Anthony Veneziale (who is part of the FLS founding trio which includes Thomas Kail and  Lin-Manuel Miranda) talks about what makes the hip-hop improv show so unique, and why the audience is such an important part of the show where every performance is different every time.  FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME is playing at The Old Globe Theatre through July 10th.
