On Monday (May 9), Atlantic Theater Company presented their 2022 Gala, Let’s Party!, at Loeb Boathouse at Central Park (Park Drive North, East 72nd Street). This year, Atlantic celebrated the first season back on their stages following the 18-month shutdown due to the global pandemic.

Rehearsals have begun for the Tampa Repertory Theatre's production of The Dreamer Examines His Pillow by Tony Award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley. The play has not been staged professionally anywhere in Florida since it was created in 1986.

The world-renowned Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC), is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Núñez as Creative Director.  An acclaimed conductor, clinician and speaker, and soloist, Núñez has been with YPC since 2004 and has played a significant role in fostering the award -winning choir’s key programs as well as providing vision for new initiatives. In her new role, Núñez will lead YPC’s creative programming efforts.

Every theatre student is always told to read more plays, but oftentimes, it's difficult to find something that holds our attention or seems right for us. After examining this trend among my fellow college theatre students for some time, I started to cobble together a list of play recommendations specifically tailored towards something all of us are very interested in: our zodiac signs! BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Nashville vocalist Wendy Moten – best known for her 2021 run on NBC’s “The Voice” – in a special concert on Monday, May 16 at 7:00 PM. Her show will include songwriter Richard Whiting hits including “He’s Funny That Way,” “My Ideal,” “Miss Brown,” and “Too Marvelous For Words.”

Broadway Workshop - LIVE at SONY HALL will take place at the famed Sony Hall (235 West 46th Street, New York, New York 10036) on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 7PM and will feature songs from stage and screen in an over-the-top musical concert with all proceeds benefiting Project Broadway.

TikTok just presented their first official commissioned TikTok musical, For You, Paige! The musical, performed live from a theater in New York City and streamed on TikTok, was led by none other than Daniel Mertzlufft, best known for his success on TikTok with Grocery Store Musical and Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical.
