The Museum of Broadway has announced the first special exhibit that will be featured in the Museum, The American Theatre as seen by Hirschfeld, curated by David Leopold, Creative Director of The Al Hirschfeld Foundation.

The HERO ART PROJECT, portraits of healthcare heroes lost in the line of duty during the pandemic, rolls out its national launch this fall with an exhibit on the National Mall and additional exhibits planned for New York (October), Miami, Texas, Georgia, New England, and the West Coast.  

The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry will present free Sendak-Inspired Toy Theater Spectacle and Exhibit Tours Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Ballard Institute Tours at noon, 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Performances at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced complete casting for the Special Benefit Concert Reading of The Pirates of Penzance. The concert will be taking place on Monday, October 17, 2022 at the American Airlines Theatre. 

The Drama League has announced performers and appearances slated for the 2022 Fall gala, “Embrace The Season: A Drama League Celebration.” Held on Monday, October 17 at 6:00 PM at City Winery, the gala will feature a dazzling array of exclusive cast performances and appearances from musicals and plays on stage this season.

But when she learns the marriage is between two women, she begins to feel conflicted. A surprising and sweet take on a modern-day controversy, seeped in humor and warmth.

Theatre Arlington will be serving up layers of delicious and heartwarming comedy in Bekah Brunstetter’s The Cake, set to open on Friday, September 30th.

Breakout star Zoe Wees released “Daddy’s Eyes,” a song brimming with the earnest, heartfelt and sometimes heartbreaking lyricism that have won her acclaim. The 20-year-old wrote the song about her father – and she wrote it for those who grew up in similar circumstances. She recorded the single with producers Patrick Pyke Salmy and Ricardo Muñoz.
