Cortland Repertory Theatre will present as the fourth mainstage show in their 51st annual summer season the regional premiere of the dramatic comedy “The Cake”, running from July 19 - 28. This timely play, written by Bekah Brunstetter, will have evening shows at 7:30 PM, with matinees on July 21, 22, 23 and 26 at 2:00 PM. 

Emmy and Tony Award winner Billy Crudup will reprise his award–winning role in David Cale’s Harry Clarke, performing at Berkeley Rep’s Roda Theatre (2015 Addison St., Berkeley) November 15–December 23, 2023. 

As part of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association's ongoing organ concert series, young organist Isabella Isza Wu will make her Ocean Grove debut on Wednesday July 19 at 7:30 PM. This is a free recital. The Great Auditorium is located at Pilgrim and Ocean Pathways in Ocean Grove NJ. All facilities are handicapped accessible.

Renaissance Now Theatre & Film, led by Kathy Curtiss, specializes in freely adapting Shakespearean plays with additions of dialogue in contemporary prose. This 'now speak' is used to highlight social issues, including political and moral themes, from the viewpoint of characters in the plays. The company will present 'Hamlet Speak,' adapted and directed by Ms. Curtiss, July 26 to 29 at The Chain Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 4th floor.

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It's a 'big bright beautiful world' as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family. Featuring 43 youth artists between the ages of 9-16 years old. The cast has been revealed for Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare & Company, directed by Artistic Director Allyn Burrows and staged August 1 through September 10, opening Friday, August 4 outdoors at the New Spruce Theatre.
