The 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® has added four performances to its stellar lineup of entertainment.

THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS will be anchored by ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT host Kevin Frazier and correspondent Keltie Knight, live from New York City Thursday, Nov. 22 on the CBS Television Network. The parade will be broadcast 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, live ET/8:00-11:00 AM, live CT/7:00-10:00 AM, live MT/1:00 PM-4:00 PM, delayed PT.

Looking ahead, you'll find a number of new productions on tap for your entertainment pleasure, thanks to the efforts of theater companies all over Middle Tennessee. Here's our calendar for November 5, 2018, to help you plot your course through the end of the year...

Macy Medford's had a pretty remarkable time while studying at Belmont University. A graduate of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas, she came to Nashville as part of the Class of 2019 of the school's renowned musical theatre program at Belmont, where she continues to grow as a performer, but perhaps more importantly as an individual with her sights firmly focused on the future.

PARLIAMENT SQUARE by Pony World Theatre pulls at your heart and gut but leaves your intellect unengaged. The show is a feast of tension, activism, and drama with a side of emotional manipulation. The story falls to match the actors or design in terms of inspiration and fizzles from lack of specificity.

On the fourth Monday of every month, two of NYC's most beloved underground acts join forces to bring a monthly, intimate evening of entertainment to the legendary Slipper Room. Charming troubadour and raconteur Corn Mo brings his patented combination of original songs, quirky, off-kilter anecdotes, and charisma, framed by The Love Show Dancers' dance performance, burlesque, and saucy surprises! Trivia contests entertain questions charaded by the Love Show Dancers with prizes of insignificant worth!

Ain't no party like a Wonderland tea party! Ignite your sense of adventure by joining the ever-curious Alice and her bubbly friends this holiday season as Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) presents the return of one of its most popular and cherished family-friendly musicals Alice in Wonderland, playing November 28-December 30, 2018. Based on the adored, imaginative tale by Lewis Carroll, the fantastical classic receives a sassy, contemporary spin by local creative team Joseph McDonough (playwright) and David Kisor (composer and lyricist). Featuring an updated score along with ETC's hallmark of exuberant, colorful costumes, it is sure to be a sweet holiday treat for the entire family.

Casa Mañana Theatre presents 'Twas the Night Before Christmas: A Holiday Musical and Parody Spectacular, sponsored by Frank Kent Cadillac and Macy's as part of the 2018-2019 Children's Theatre season presented by Regions. Tickets are on sale now.

A spectacle like no other awaits millions as the 92nd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®, America's favorite tradition, kicks-off the holiday season. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the nation's biggest and most anticipated holiday celebration. Millions of families will tune in to watch the excitement unfold on Thursday, Nov. 22 as Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker of NBC's 'Today' host the broadcast from 9 a.m.-noon in all time zones.

Today Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) confirmed that its 'Building a Better World' float will appear in the 92 nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade . This year GSUSA will celebrate girls who are building a better world through science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). At a time when women account for half the college-educated workforce but fill just 29 percent of science and engineering occupations,Girl Scouts is cultivating girls' interest in these topics from an early age and helping them build valuable STEM skills so they can take the lead and positively influence our world. Performing on the Girl Scout float will be 15-year-old rising pop-country star and Girl Scout Tegan Marie. In true trailblazing Girl Scout fashion, she'll be one of the youngest country performers in the Parade's history and the youngest performer ever on the Girl Scout float.

Come hear the full story of the partnership that spawned decades of classics, with music from each of their 11 shows.

iHeartMedia will celebrate the holiday season across the nation with its annual “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One” – the season's spectacular music event, which captures the music and holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app with performances by this year's biggest recording artists. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2018 Tour Presented by Capital One will stop in Dallas; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Minneapolis; Boston; Philadelphia; New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Atlanta; Tampa and Miami/Ft. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities kicks off its holiday season with the hit Broadway musical ELF- The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer, opening November 20, 2018. ELF -The Musical is based off the popular 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, which became an instant holiday classic. This charming musical, perfect for audiences of all ages, follows Buddy the Elf on his journey to find his true family and revive their Christmas spirit. The 2018 - 2019 Theatre Season Presenting Sponsor is Lutheran Medical Center.

Theater at Monmouth presents the cult holiday hit, The Santaland Diaries, adapted by Joe Mantello from David Sedaris' best-selling book Holidays on Ice. This modern holiday classic, made famous when it aired on National Public Radio, recounts the tale of Sedaris' stint as a Macy's Department Store elf named 'Crumpet.' Sedaris' off-kilter, witty, and often sentimental holiday memoir (not suitable for children) will have you laughing into the New Year!

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) announces full casting for the Theatre Company's production of A Christmas Carol and Off-Center's production of The SantaLand Diaries. The 2018 production of The SantaLand Diaries will mark the final year of the annual collaboration between Off-Center and Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company (BETC).  

Actors Theatre of Louisville announces The Santaland Diaries, by David Sedaris, adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello, and directed by Associate Artistic Director Meredith McDonough, onstage from November 15-December 23. Described last year as 'the adventurous yuletide theater-goers should check out!' by Arts Louisville, Sedaris's holiday tale will play to new audiences with an increased number of performances, in the 159-seat Victor Jory Theatre. The Santaland Diaries is brought to you in part by BB&T.

Opening November 16 at The Ringwald, Bekah Brunstetter's acclaimed comedy-drama The Cake takes a political hot-button and bakes it into something deeply and sweetly personal.

Rehearsals have begun for The 5th Avenue Theatre's new production of the beloved musical Annie, which plays this holiday season from November 23 - December 30, 2018. The 5th is excited to introduce Visesia Fakatoufifita of Tacoma, WA, and Faith Young of Kent, WA, who make their 5th Avenue Theatre debuts alternating the title role.

City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph Street, announces the return of multi-Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Christopher Cross, Twenty Feet from Stardom's Ms. Lisa Fischer & Grand Baton, award-winning Celtic quarter We Banjo 3, and more. NBC will celebrate man's best friend in the 17th anniversary edition of the family favorite holiday special “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina®” airing on Thanksgiving Day (noon-2 p.m. in all time zones), Nov. 22, following the telecast of NBC's “Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.”
