Target Margin Theater Announces 2018 Company Artists And Programs In Brooklyn

Following the opening of the Company's first permanent home, Target Margin Theater has announced that 13 diverse artists, via three distinct programs, will be supported in 2018. The Company's new home, located in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, enables Target Margin Theater to deepen their support of the next generation of theater makers through its annual incubator LAB festival, it's five-year-old fellowship program, and its new artist-in-residency program.
Mac Wellman's A CHRONICLE OF THE MADNESS OF SMALL WORLDS to Get New York Premiere

Next Door at New York Theatre Workshop (79 East 4th Street) continues its inaugural season with the New York premiere of Mac Wellman's A Chronicle of the Madness of Small Worlds, adapted for the stage and directed by Elena Araoz. The production runs in NYTW's newly renovated 65-seat black box space from January 17 through February 5, 2018. The production is produced and sponsored by Harvey and Kathleen Guion.

Elena Araoz, a critically-acclaimed New York-based director of opera and theater, will direct Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' production of Romeo and Juliet, June 1-24, at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. The director originally slated for the production, Taibi Magar, has taken an Off-Broadway project at The Atlantic Theatre Company that will conflict with the St. Louis production dates.

The exclusive late night showings are part of a trio of performances produced by Barker Room Rep, Los Angeles-based experimental theater company, which also includes the West Coast premiere of Erin Courtney's A Map of Virtue, November 2 18 and Real Talk / Kip Talk with Kippy Winston, executive produced by Eliza Bent and directed by Sarah Hughes, November 10 & 11.
