The Really Useful Group in London has authorized a special, limited engagement of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber to be produced almost entirely with Utah talent for Utah audiences in celebration of the return of live performance to Utah stages. The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber will feature iconic songs from Lloyd Webber's most popular shows including The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and others.

North Star Theater Company, in collaboration with Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta, presents the acclaimed Broadway musical a?oeGodspell.a?? The musical will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church on Friday, March 13 at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 14 at 8 p.m., Sunday, March 15 at 3 p.m., and Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students 18 and below and senior citizens. This satirical musical hoedown about living the American Dream tells the tale of what happens when the town gets convinced by the new Preacher as their "For Profit Prophet" and the son of a reality TV producer from Hollywood, Peter Martinez (Jamie Daniels), that the way to its salvation, fame and fortune is through being the subject of a new "Reality TV" show so the Preacher can raise funds to build a new "Mega-Church" in town to spread the gospel and bring more citizens into his flock. After all, he claims, "If they believe 'The Bachelor' is real, they'll believe anything."

The Personal Care Products Council Foundation and the American Cancer Society announced today the details for the 32nd annual DreamBall, to be held on Wednesday, September 28 at Cipriani, 42nd Street, in New York City. The annual DreamBall gala benefits the Look Good Feel Better program. For 27 years, Look Good Feel Better has been the only free, nationwide program dedicated to helping cancer patients address the appearance side effects of treatment to improve their self-esteem and confidence. Look Good Feel Better is offered through a collaboration of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the Professional Beauty Association.

In the golden years of Original Pilipino Music (OPM), during the '70s and early '80s, the singer behind the hit songs was king, and so was balladeer Basil Valdez, one of the most enduring music icons from the Philippines. Valdez, now 64, is set to hold a rare concert appearance in New York City on Sunday, September 18, at 5 p.m. at Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel (135-20 39th Avenue, Flushing, N.Y.). His concert is aptly billed as 'Basil Valdez: Ngayon at Kailanman.'
