SundanceTV's “Dream School: NYC” premiering Wednesday, October 1st at 10pm ET/PT takes on a new class of students who have dropped out or been expelled from the conventional school system and offers them a real chance to graduate.

Beginning the week of Thanksgiving and running through the end of December, Artists Rep offers Portland audiences a pair of decidedly offbeat holiday plays all in the same night. From the World Premiere of Matt Pelfrey's The Reason for the Season that involves a wrestling match between parents and Santa, to the Northwest Premiere of Anthony Neilson's The Night Before Christmas where a hostage elf tells tales of Santa's secrets - these new plays offer theatre-goers a gleeful dose of raucous, very adult, holiday spirit. EVITA will return to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement, now through November 10, 2013. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this national touring production comes directly from the first new Broadway revival of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical, since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago. This summer, New Haarlem Arts Theatre (NHAT), the professional theater company of City College of New York (CCNY), has expanded its programming and will present mainstage productions of 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' and 'Sweet Charity,' as well as a show for young audiences and a readings series. The theater, led by Eugene Nesmith, is entering its second season and will again be in residence at Aaron Davis Hall, located at W. 135th Street and Convent Avenue, Manhattan (Hamilton Heights).
