Executive producer and playwright Jordan Jaffe, along with co-producer Rebecca Crigler (Mike Birbiglia's The New One, Chris Gethard: Career Suicide), are pleased to announce the world premiere of Jaffe's new eco-comedy Whirlwind. The second entry in the playwright's 'Energy' series (following up the world premiere production of Crude), concerning the dirty dealings and messy relationships at a clean energy wind farm, Whirlwind begins previews at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd St., between Ave. A and Ave. B) on January 23 toward an opening on January 28, with a limited engagement scheduled through February 10. Chase Brock, the contemporary choreographer behind the Broadway-bound production Be More Chill and the Artistic Director of Brooklyn-based dance company The Chase Brock Experience, announced today that the company will hold its annual gala following a special performance of The Girl with the Alkaline Eyes on Monday, January 7 at 7:00pm. This year's gala will honor Denise Roberts Hurlin, the Founding Director of Dancers Responding to AIDS (a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS), a member of the CBE Advisory Board, and a former company member of Paul Taylor Dance Company.

Asolo Rep proudly presents an FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training touring production of William Shakespeare's magical masterpiece THE TEMPEST. This inventive, new 45-minute adaptation will be directed by Asolo Rep Associate Artistic Director Celine Rosenthal and adapted by Tyler Dobrowsky, who streamlined last season's touring production of Julius Caesar. The ninth annual educational touring production will travel to schools and community venues throughout the state of Florida from September 25 through November 19. There will also be a special performance for educators, press and the public on Friday, September 28 at 6pm in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will feature the epic adventure musical Loch Ness. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, and run from July 6th-8th and 10th-14th, with a preview on July 5th.

Sam Chanse's THE OPPORTUNITIES OF EXTINCTION is being presented at Cherry Lane (38 Commerce St.) from March 28 - April 7,2018, it has been announced by Seri Lawrence and Janio Marrero, Cherry Lane's Co-Artistic Directors. Angelina Fiordellisi is Cherry Lane's Founding Artistic Director. Ms. Chanse is mentored by recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts playwriting fellowship and the Helen Merrill Distinguished Playwright Award, Migdalia Cruz.
