Hey, Old Friend... Hal Prince Alumni Salute a Broadway Legend!

It's almost Prince time! Later today, Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of Prince of Broadway, a musical celebration that highlights the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Harold Prince, will open at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

BWW Review: COMPANY at MNM Productions

MNM Productions' Company is the latest venture by theatrical producers and arts consultants Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz. Company is their sixth major musical following A Chorus Line, Side By Side By Sondheim, Hair, The World Goes 'Round and, most recently, Monty Python's Spamalot. MNM Productions' Company will be appearing at the Marshall E. Rinker Playhouse of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts through August 6, 2017.

NUMBERS NERDS: The [almost] All-Girl Math Challenge Comes to Peter Jay Sharp Theater

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) and CPA Theatricals present Numbers Nerds, the [almost] all-girl math challenge, with book by Laura Stratford, Music by David Kornfeld, lyrics by Alex Higgin-Houser, additional music by Dylan MarcAurele and original story by Larry Little.  Amber Mak, New Works Development Director at Chicago's Paramount Theatre, directs and choreographs a cast of six, including Danielle Davila, Madison Kauffman, Jake Morrissy, Maisie Rose, Sharon Sachs (Film: 'Home Alone;'  TV: 'Weeds,' 'Dexter,' 'Grimm') and Tiffany Tatreau (Ride the Cyclone). Six performances will be staged at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, New York City from July 19-23, 2017.

SUNSET BOULEVARD plays its final performance on Broadway today, Sunday, June 25. The production, which marked the triumphant return of Glenn Close to the role of Norma Desmond, will have played a total of 145 performances. Originally scheduled as a limited run through May 28th, Sunset Boulevard extended through June 25.

Glenn Close Stops the Show at SUNSET BOULEVARD to Stop Photo-Taking Audience Member

With one look she can stop the show...literally.  BroadwayWorld has just learned that at yesterday's matinee of Sunset Boulevard, leading lady Glenn Close paused her performance to politely ask an audience member to stop taking photos, saying it was distracting and disrespectful. She said: "We can have a show or we can have a photo shoot," and then quickly began "With One Look" again from the top of the song.
