In anticipation of Sunday night's epic premiere of “American Idol” on ABC, a special helicopter flight across Los Angeles on Sunday will carry four, 15-foot tall cutouts of superstar judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Emmy®Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest.

 The gold standard of all music competition series, “American Idol,” will make its highly anticipated return to television this weekend and now we have an extended look at the return! 

AMERICAN IDOL the iconic series that revolutionized the television landscape by pioneering the music competition genre, will return to airwaves on SUNDAY, MARCH 11 (8:00 10:00 p.m. EDT), at its new home on The ABC Television Network. Country music singer Scotty McCreery (winner of American Idol season 10), who is currently on the country charts with his Top 3-and- rising smash hit single Five More Minutes, will host the premiere show today, TUESDAY, FEB. 27 at 5:00 p.m. PST/ 8:00 p.m. EST. Chris Dave and The Drumhedz just released their video for 'Dat Feelin' (ft. SiR).' The video premiered at Afropunk, who said 'Dat Feelin' is a frenetic throwback to big bands and jazz lounges, translated for the modern era into an ambient expression of bliss and feel goods.' The track is from The Drumhedz' debut self-titled album, out now via Blue Note Records. 

The Legendary Soul Man Sam Moore was honored with the Trailblazer Award at the annual Dream Ball Gala on Monday, February 19 at the Bomb Factory in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. The gala is produced by Nancy Lieberman Charities, a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes healthy lifestyles and educational opportunities for young girls and boys, and is dedicated to expanding and ensuring that educational and sports opportunities exist for economically disadvantaged youth. Moore was presented with the Trailblazer Award by former Dallas Police Chief David Brown, and also performed a short set during the program, garnering rave reviews. Fellow honoree Billy Crystal was joined by Bo Derek, Tony Dorsett, Deion Sanders, Jose' Guzman, and Spud Webb, among other celebrities and local dignitaries, who were also in attendance. The Dream Ball Gala is one of several annual charity events organized by Nancy Lieberman Charities.
