Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) is thrilled to announce the eighth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Aaron Carter, Emily Feldman, Dave Harris, Jonathan Spector and Sanaz Toossi.

Shall we dance? Lincoln Center Theater's multi-award winning and critically acclaimed production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's legendary musical The King and I is making its debut today on BroadwayHD.  Called 'a hit' by the Times of London and 'complete rapture' by the Telegraph, this joyous and captivating rendition stars Kelli O'Hara as she reprises her Tony Award®-winning role as Anna, alongside Tony and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe as The King.  It also marks the crowd-pleasing return of Ruthie Ann Miles in her Tony Award®-winning role as Lady Thiang.  Supported by a company of over 50 dazzling performers, this not-to-miss stage spectacular features one of the finest scores ever written with show-stopping hits like 'Whistle a Happy Tune,' 'Getting to Know You,' and 'Shall We Dance.' 

Christian Dante White will assume the role of Freddy Eynsford-Hill in Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning Tuesday, January 8 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). He succeeds Jordan Donica who originated the role in this award-winning production.

Gingold Theatrical Group presents the final presentation of the 13th Season of Project Shaw, a special series of evenings offering some of Shaw's greatest works and those who share his fierce 'art as activism' precepts, presented monthly at Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Peter Norton Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street). The acclaimed 2018 season concluded on December 17th with Shaw contemporary Arthur Wing Pinero's The Enchanted Cottage.

About Face Theatre is pleased to continue its 2018-19 season with DADA WOOF PAPA HOT, a sexy comedy about gay parenting and modern families from Peter Parnell (The Cider House Rules), directed by Jeff Award-nominated AFT Artistic Associate Keira Fromm*. DADA WOOF PAPA HOT will play January 10 - February 16, 2019 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of WHITE NOISE, written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks. 

It would be hard pressed to find someone who, in the past thirty years, has influenced the development of the American Theatre more than Andre Bishop. For ten years, he was Artistic Director of Playwright's Horizons, which was followed by his current stint as the Artistic Director of Lincoln Center Theatre, which has given the American musical theatre such new works as A New Brain, Parade, Contact, and The Light in The Piazza, as well as revivals of South Pacific, The King & I, and My Fair Lady.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts announced today the 2019 class of Emerging Artists, recognizing diverse and exceptional talents. Each recipient was nominated by one of Lincoln Center's eleven resident organizations, acknowledging their extraordinary talent and promising career. The 2019 winners are: singer and actress Mikaela Bennett (The Juilliard School); dancer Savannah Durham (School of American Ballet); composer and sound artist Ashley Fure (Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the New York Philharmonic); actor Nadine Malouf (Lincoln Center Theater); bassist Endea Owens (Jazz at Lincoln Center); soprano Gabriella Reyes (The Metropolitan Opera); musician Adam Tendler (The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts); dancer Sebastian Villarini-Velez (New York City Ballet); filmmaker Eduardo Williams (Film Society of Lincoln Center); and violinist Angelo Xiang Yu (The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center). Each of the awardees will receive $7,500 to be used for career advancement.

Jeff Daniels stars in Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of the classic novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, opening on Broadway tonight!

Yale Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of Good Faith: Four Chats about Race and the New Haven Fire Department by Karen Hartman, directed by Kenny Leon, February 1-23, 2019 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, February 7.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce two of the three productions planned for the 2019 Mainstage Summer Season. The first will be the World Premiere of SAFE SPACE, which will run from May 28 - June 16. This new play is by Alan Fox and will be directed by three-time Tony Award Winner Jack O'Brien (The Hard Place, Hairspray, The Coast of Utopia).

The 2017 Tony Award nominee for Best Play and the most-produced play of the 2018-2019 season, A Doll's House, Part 2 makes its Boston debut at the Huntington Theatre Company at the Avenue of the Arts / Huntington Avenue Theatre (264 Huntington Avenue, Boston) in a co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Written by Tony Award nominee Lucas Hnath and directed by Obie Award winner Les Waters, performances will run January 4 through February 3. The press opening will be Wednesday, January 9 at 7pm. 

Manhattan Theatre Club is hosting the Broadway premiere of Choir Boy, by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Trip Cullman. Get to know the cast below as they begin Broadway performances!

This week, Broadway Dreams and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization hosted the 70th Anniversary gala concert celebration of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical triumph, South Pacific. 

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has announced that Gabby Beans, Marceline Hugot, and Ismenia Mendes will join Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Karen Kandel, and Lucy Taylor for the world premiere of MARYS SEACOLE, a new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).  MARYS SEACOLE will begin performances Saturday evening, February 9 and run for six weeks only through Sunday, March 24.  Opening night is Monday, February 25.

Miami New Drama, the groundbreaking company transforming Miami's theaterscene, co-founded by artistic director Michel Hausmann, will continue as the residentcompany at Miami Beach's historic Colony Theatre for five more years. The renewed commitment from the City of Miami Beach will maintain the company at the Lincoln Road theater until 2023.
