The Paley Center for Media will present A Salute to Black Achievements in Television Presented by Citi from February 1-March 1. This monthlong celebration will include an interactive exhibit focusing on comedy, spotlight BET Network's 40th anniversary, as well as family activities, education classes, and screenings featuring some of the most influential names in entertainment. Entry to the exhibit and screenings are free and open to the public.

SHOWTIME has announced that the third season of its drama series THE CHI, which will feature series creator and Emmy® winner Lena Waithe (Queen & Slim, Boomerang) in a multi-episode arc as a Chicago mayoral candidate, will debut on Sunday, July 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour.

The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Honors announced today the recipients of two of their most prominent awards - Hollywood Legacy Award and Industry Renaissance Award - which each honor outstanding accomplishments in film and television. For the week ending Friday, Nov. 22 (week 9 of the 2019-2020 broadcast season), in live plus 3 Day lift, THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT beat its closest competition (“The Tonight Show”) by +77% in viewers (3.60m versus 2.03m). In viewers, THE LATE SHOW has won every first-run week this season. THE LATE SHOW also beat “Tonight” in both adults 25-54 ratings (0.7 vs. 0.6) and adults 18-49 viewership (580K vs. 485K).
