Line-Up Announced for 2020 KCRW's World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced the line-up for the 2020 KCRW's World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl. The successful collaboration between KCRW and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, now in its 21st year, launches Sunday, June 28, at 7PM.

Lio O'liva Debuts Visual Album PROSTHETIC SOUL

Out of the gate underground artist Lio O'liva has hit the music scene hard with the release of his freshman album Prosthetic Soul, available now via Youtube, Soundcloud, iTunes and Google Play. With the release of his visual R&B/hip hop album, the 24-year-old Bronx artist tells a tale of disability, immigration, love and overcoming adversity. Born with a severe disability in Honduras, O'liva moved to the United States when he was a small child. Here, he underwent surgery and received prosthetic legs and his family eventually settled in the Bronx, where O'liva grew up and developed a strong love of American soul music. He counts Stevie Wonder, Usher, Musiq Soulchild, Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo among his influences.

Brussels-based alternative R&B/ soul duo YellowStraps have shared their latest single 'Goldress' (feat. VYNK) on 13 December via Haliblue Records. It is the title track from their upcoming EP Goldress, slated to drop on 7 February 2020. 'Goldress' has already seen support from the likes of COMPLEX, Les Inrocks, Acid Stag, BBC Radio 1xtra's Jamz Supernova, and KONBINI Radio. The duo has received previous support from Earmilk, This Song Is Sick and Indie Shuffle to name but a few.
