Playhouse on Park's 2021-22 productions will mark the organization’s 13th Main Stage season! Playhouse on Park offers a wide range of thought provoking, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable productions that leave audiences often smiling, sometimes crying, and always talking about what they have just experienced.

Weston Playhouse Theatre Company has announced a return to live performance with the first production of its 2021 season: AN ILIAD, running July 14 – August 6 under the Tent at Walker Farm.

The season opens with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire's comedy Good People - a compelling and comedic examination of class and the divides it creates in a community of hardworking South Boston friends. A Tony Award nominee for Best Play, Good People, looks into the struggles of its characters and reminds us that kindness comes at the most surprising moments and from unexpected sources.  

Artistic Director Ryan Rilette and Managing Director Ed Zakreski have announced the full six-show lineup for Round House Theatre’s 44th Season. Following a historic season of digital performances, Round House will welcome audiences back into its Bethesda theatre for live, in-person productions with a slate of shows designed to transport them around the world. 

Palo Alto Players has announced its 91st season - RECONNECTING. After a long intermission, Palo Alto Players returns to in-person theater once again, ready to share experiences and stories that will inspire, entertain, and enrich local artists and audiences.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre will welcome back audiences as they raise the curtain on their 24th season.

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced that the co-recipients of the 2021 Lanford Wilson Award are Mariam Bazeed and Rhiana Yazzie. The award will be presented at the Guild's awards ceremony at a later date. The writers will also each receive a $20,000 cash prize.

The Human Race Theatre Company will continue its 35th year by bringing back a show from its “Women of Influence” season, Lauren Gunderson's comedy The Revolutionists.  Gunderson's fresh look at four strong women trying to make a difference during the French Revolution – without losing their heads - will be filmed on the Loft stage.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host nine weeklong in-person residencies for 23 musical theatre writers of nine new musicals between June 27 and August 29.  Writers include Tony-nominee Beth Malone, Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls; Jonathan Larson winners Avi Amon, Sara Cooper, Ty Defoe, and Anna Jacobs and more.
