The Eisemann Center and the City of Richardson announced the 2019-2020 Season of Eisemann Center Presents (ECP) at the Annual Season Preview Party on Thursday, May 9, 2019. The season includes our two full subscription series: Jeffrey Siegel's Keyboard Conversations with a total of four concerts; and the Family Theatre Series with four productions and the accompanying immersive children's program Eisemann Extras. In addition we have 16 diverse productions ranging from superstar Mandy Patinkin to Asleep At The Wheel on their 50th Anniversary Tour and America's Got Talent favorite, deaf singer Mandy Harvey all returning to the Eisemann Center this season.

'Ladies & Gentlemen, Julie Budd'…….That intro has been said by Frank Sinatra, Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, Carol Burnet, Danny Thomas, Marvin Hamlisch, Joan Rivers and Liberace among others. Last night it was Jim Caruso who introduced Julie to a room full of her fans in the Birdland Theater. As Jim pointed out to an excited audience, Julie was one of the first artists he thought of for Birdland's new space.

Singer Julie Budd will perform The Songs of My Life... And the Composers Who Wrote Them on Wednesday, May 1 through Saturday, May 4 at 7 pm in the Birdland Theater. The Songs Of My Life is a journey in music through Budd's many decades in show business. Under musical director Herb Bernstein, Budd will perform material by such varied songwriters as Michel Legrand, Duke Ellington. Laura Nyro, Jule Styne, Cy Coleman, Dorothy Fields, Marvin Hamlisch, Carole King, Barry Manilow, Anthony Newley, Marc Shaiman, Burt Bacharach & Hal David, Neil Sedaka, Oscar Levant and more.

 The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center will present Broadway legend Patti LuPone on Saturday, July 20 at 8:00pm, and The Fab Faux performing a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road on Friday, August 2 at 8:00pm. Tickets go on sale to Mahaiwe members on Thursday, December 20 and to the general public on Friday, December 28. Mahaiwe members enjoy ticket discounts, early ordering privileges, and other perks for a full 12 months. Memberships start at $75 ($35 for those 30 and under) and contributions can be made at the box office or online.

Birdland Theater has announced that singer Julie Budd will perform in concert on Wednesday through Saturday, May 1 - 4 at 7pm. Ms. Budd, backed by longtime musical director Herb Bernstein, will perform material by such varied songwriters as Michel Legrand, Duke Ellington. Laura Nyro, Jule Styne, Cy Coleman, Dorothy Fields, Marvin Hamlisch, Carole King, Barry Manilow, Anthony Newley, Marc Shaiman, Burt Bacharach & Hal David, Neil Sedaka, Oscar Levant, and more.

Due to travel delays caused by extreme weather conditions in the upper Midwest, Three Dog Night for tonight has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the original Thursday, April 11 date will be honored. Ticket holders who cannot attend the new date can request a refund from their original point of purchase by Monday, April 22. The Bay Area's favorite Clown Prince of Fools, Unique Derique, returns to The Marsh Berkeley in his zany comedy extravaganza for all ages, Fool La La: Over the Rainbow. This hippity-hop, non-stop flight of fancy features circus-inspired tricks, playful percussion and electronic body music in a whimsical celebration of individuality with new surprises on the journey to discovering one's inner rainbow. After the show, audiences can express themselves the Fool La La way - by getting into the act and joining Unique Derique in a free 20-minute juggling and hambone workshop for the whole family.

Verb Ballets, Northeast Ohio's premiere contemporary ballet company, celebrates the life and work of Ian Horvath (1943-1990) on February 9, 2019 in an evening titled Dance Legacy: Celebrating the Life of Ian Horvath. The three-part performance will honor Horvath's impact on dance in Cleveland and will recognize his work as an AIDS advocate. Tragically, he lost his battle to AIDS at the age of 46.

Verb Ballets, Northeast Ohio's premiere contemporary ballet company, continues the celebration of the life and work of Ian Horvath (1943-1990) on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm in a matinee performance at the Akron-Summit County Public Library Auditorium. The performance will honor Horvath's impact on dance and will recognize his work as an AIDS advocate. Horvath was best known in Cleveland as a founder of the Cleveland Ballet and a former soloist with the Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Later, he was the Producing Director of the Jose Limon Dance Foundation. Tragically, he lost his battle to AIDS at the age of 46. 

Salty Brine proudly announces a year-long residency at downtown cabaret and music venue Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in 2019. Brine will perform four original shows as part of his long-running series, The Living Record Collection.

Mandy Gonzalez recently wrapped up her engagement with A Philly POPS Christmas: Spectacular Sounds of the Season! at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The concert ran from December 1 - 22, 2018. She was also the first Latina to be a featured soloist with the Philly POPS.
