IAMA Theatre Company has selected Agyeiwaa Asante as the 2026 recipient of the Los Angeles-based theatre company’s The Rhimes Unsung Voices Playwriting Commission.

FRIGID New York and The Apollo will present the 17th season of the Obie Award-winning The Fire This Time Festival, a platform for playwrights of African and African-American descent to write and produce evocative material for diverse audiences.

Mosaic Theater Company presents the world premiere of Monumental Travesties, a searing new comedy written by Mosaic's Andrew W.
