The Dramatists Guild of America has announced Tony-nominee Matthew Sklar as the recipient of the Frederick Loewe Award for Dramatic Composition for his score to the Broadway musical, The Prom. 

Adam Driver was a guest on Monday morning's episode of 'Good Morning America' to talk about starring on Broadway in Burn This. Driver talks to GMA host Lara Spencer about his Tony-nominated performance in the play, and he also talks about his Arts in the Armed Forces program, which aims to bring American theatre to active duty service members.

Arts in the Armed Forces, founded by actor and Marine Adam Driver, will treat an audience of 50 veterans and active duty military to the May 29 performance of Lanford Wilson's Burn This at Broadway's Hudson Theatre. The event is free of charge for the attendees and will be followed by a private reception.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. During the interview, Russell tells Meyers that she still isn't used to being on stage every night. She says, ' I have immense respect for people who do it, and a beer definitely helps.'

The annual Momentum Festival of New Plays at Different Stages will close the 2018-19 City Theatre season with four days of an intergenerational epic, an unconventional comedy, a chilling thriller, and a touching story of hope. Detroit Theatre Collective will present a dramatic collage centered around Maurice Maeterlinck's 1891 symbolist play L'INTRUSE (The Intruder). The show features dance, vaudeville, visual media and the driving action of Maeterlinck's story, exploring metaphysical themes such as the spirit world, life and death, family and change.
