Logical Content Ventures, Logical Pictures’ co-production fund, will finance the development of the films, which will focus on genres in the horror, thriller and sci-fi universe. Logical also secured a first-look agreement to finance and produce. The slate will span multiple projects, with XYZ Films set to produce and handle sales.

'The Harder They Fall' headlined the African American Film Critics Association's annual list of the top 10 films of the year. The film, directed by Jeymes Samuel, and produced by rap mogul Jay-Z, stars Idris Elba, Jonathan Majors, Regina King, Zazie Beetz and LaKeith Stanfield portraying historical Black figures Rufus Buck, Nat Love, Trudy Smith, Stagecoach Mary and Cherokee Bill, respectively.

Apple TV+ has confirmed a full series order for The Changeling, a new drama starring LaKeith Stanfield. Based on a 2017 novel by Victor LaVelle, the series was adapted by Kelly Marcel and will be directed by Malina Matsoukas.
