Following six sold out shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre will continue their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED for a seventh installment, Friday, October 1 at 7pm.

Last night, in celebration of the release of her eponymous new memoir today, September 15, Patti LuPone celebrated with an exclusive book party at Lincoln Center with dozens of her famous friends. Following four sold out weeks of shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre will continue their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED for one performance only, Monday, August 2nd at 7pm. Joining the cast are Darius DeHaas (Marie Christine, Kiss of the Spider Woman), Julie Reyburn (MAC & Bistro Winner), Raissa Katona Bennett (Phantom of the Opera), Kevin Dozier and our special guest, Kurt Peterson, who originated the role of Young Ben in Follies.

On the heels of Jim Brochu winning the 2010 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance as theatre legend Zero Mostel in the critically acclaimed play ZERO HOUR the producers today announced the show would continue its run at the Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues), beginning June 12th. It is currently at the DR2 Theatre until Sunday May 30th.

Last night, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone hosted the ceremony, which honored the best of Broadway and off in the 2009-2010 season. BroadwayWorld.com provided live coverage on the site throughout the ceremony and was on hand at the event to capture the starry arrivals.

Lortel Statues for 14 categories and 2 special awards were handed out by celebrity presenters at the 2010 Lucille Lortel Awards at a live awards ceremony tonight at Terminal 5. Hosted by the Off-Broadway League, the live show was co-hosted by Bryan Batt and Bebe Neuwirth and featured performances by Alan Menken, STOMP, Seth Rudetsky, Edward Watts of The Fanasticks and LaChanze.

Nominations in 14 categories and 2 special awards were announced today by the Off-Broadway League for the 2010 Lucille Lortel Awards recognizing outstanding achievement Off-Broadway. This year's ceremony will benefit The Actors Fund.

Jim Brochu, author and star of the hit Off-Broadway play, 'ZERO HOUR,' will perform excerpts from the show at his alma mater, St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights (180 Remsen Street), this Thursday, January 28th at 11 a.m. Brochu will also lead an open discussion on 'ZERO HOUR' and the craft of acting. The event is free and open to the public.
