CRT Announces Winners of The Pavilion Awards

The winners for the eighth annual Cortland Repertory Theatre 'Pavilion Awards' were announced on Sunday, June 6, at the National Historic Little York Pavilion, home to CRT. The awards, sponsored by First Niagara Bank, recognize outstanding achievement in local high school theatre during the 2009-10 school year.

Cortland Repertory Theatre opens their 39th annual season at the Little York Pavilion with 'Spider's Web', a thrilling and intriguing play written by the Grand Dame of Mystery, Agatha Christie. Cortland Rep Announces Noms for the 2009-10 Pavilion Awards

Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced the nominees for their eighth annual 'Pavilion Awards' which recognize Outstanding Achievement in Local High School Theatre. For the fourth year in a row, First Niagara Bank serves as the Corporate Sponsor for this program, which allows for many categories within the musical and non-musical genres. Musicals in consideration were held at the Cortland, Dryden, Groton, Homer, McGraw and Tully High Schools.

CRT Actor Brian Runbeck wins SALT Award

Brian Runbeck, who starred in the title role in Cortland Repertory Theatre's production of 'Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde' last summer is the recipient of the Syracuse Area Live Theatre (SALT) Award for Best Actor of the Summer Season. The SALT Awards recognize outstanding achievement in Central New York theatre productions over the past year. Hosted by the Syracuse New Times, the awards ceremony was held at the Palace Theatre in Syracuse on Sunday, April 26. Primarily an evening for community theatres in Syracuse, this is the sixth year that the awards have included a category for summer theatres, which besides CRT includes the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca and the Merry Go Round Playhouse in Auburn.

On the final night of the 2009 summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre picked the winners of the 'Winter Getaway Raffle' which was held by the CRT Board of Directors over the summer. 952 tickets were sold to the raffle by CRT staff and Board members.

CRT Kids Musical Adventure Camp Is Now Taking Applications, Runs Two Seperate Weeks In August

Cortland Repertory Theatre 'CRT Kids' programs continue this summer with 'Showstoppers and Superstars', a musical theatre adventure camp for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. The goal of the program is to provide a positive theatrical experience for the child's development. No experience is necessary - just an interest in theatre performance is required!

GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE Runs 8/5-15 At Cortland Repertory Theatre

The fifth mainstage summer production at Cortland Repertory Theatre will be the theatre's regional debut of the timely, riveting and highly theatrical courtroom drama Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde. From August 5 - 15, playwright Moisés Kaufman's play will be on the CRT stage in the Edward Jones Playhouse at the Little York Pavilion.
