The ASCAP Foundation has revealed programming for the 2025 ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Fest, hosted by legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz.

Catch the second year of The ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Fest at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts from May 14 - 21.

Aspiring musical theatre creators have the chance of a lifetime to workshop their new musicals at the upcoming 2024 ASCAP Foundation Musical Theatre Librettist Workshop. Submissions are now being accepted and will be considered for this workshop taking place in Los Angeles. 

The next Musical Theatre Melodies broadcast, hosted by Rob Morrison on 96.5 FM on Tuesday, August 31st will mark the 50th anniversary of Claibe Richardson and Kenward Elmslie's THE GRASS HARP (based on the novel and play by Truman Capote), the 1971 Broadway musical which starred Barbara Cook, Karen Morrow, Carol Brice, Russ Thacker, Ruth Ford and Max Showalter.

ACTRESSES: AN ADAPTATION OF CHEKHOV'S 'THE SEAGULL' is the kind of production that captures one's attention. The poster is excellent, with an image that is as provocative as production company Black Hole Collective's description of their work. Anon Chekhov's 1895 drama was first produced the following year and became a landmark play in Konstantin Stanislavsky's 1898 staging for the Moscow Art Theatre.

The Atlanta Opera celebrates its 35th year of live productions with Giuseppe Verdi's tragic masterpiece, Rigoletto. Kevin made his highly anticipated NYC cabaret debut last June with Musical director/arranger CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE at the piano and played an equally successful return engagement in October. During his 10 years in San Francisco, he headlined at San Francisco's Plush Room, performed at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, Lush Lounge, and in various benefit concerts including 2 editions of Steve Murray's Viva Variety. He has appeared with such entertainers as Bobby McFerrin, Carmen McRae and Barry Manilow.

The York Theatre Company presents the world premiere of LingoLand, a musical revue with words by Kenward Elmslie and music by a wide array of composers.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), will present the world premiere of LingoLand, a musical revue with words by Kenward Elmslie and music by a wide array of composers, beginning Monday, February 7 at the Company's home at Saint Peter's, Citigroup Center, 619 Lexington Avenue (at 54th Street).
