Starlight has announced that Waitress will play under the stars for one week only May 17-22. Waitress is an uplifting musical that celebrates friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie.

Producer Eric Krebs, in association with Amas Musical Theatre will present the Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen.

The name on everybody's lips is gonna be Pamela! The Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome actress and activist Pamela Anderson making her Broadway debut in the role of Roxie Hart beginning tonight, April 12, 2022. She will play an 8-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC) through Sunday, June 5, 2022.

The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast, will open at Theater 555 for a limited engagement.

Lana Gordon and Drama Desk nominee Ryan Silverman will return to Chicago in the roles of Velma Kelly and Billy Flynn, respectively, on Tuesday, April 12 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.; New York, NY). They join Tony Award nominee Brenda Braxton, who previously played Velma Kelly and now takes on the role of Matron “Mama” Morton.

The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents Waitress for four performances on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 8pm; Friday, April 15 at 8pm; and Saturday, April 16 at 2pm and 8pm.

The National Tour of Chicago, which shut down as the pandemic began, will relaunch later this year. Dates and cities for the tour are yet to be announced, but BroadwayWorld has confirmed the production has confirmed dates coming up in fall 2022.

The star crossed lovers – Romeo (Nikita Burshteyn) and Bernadette (Anna Kostakis) were reunited this week for the first time in 2 years when they met with the show’s director/choreographer Justin Ross Cohen for a photo shoot in anticipation of the show’s return.  Check out the fun video!

The Kimmel Cultural Campus will present Waitress as part of its 2021-22 Broadway Series, playing at the Campus’ historic Academy of Music from Tuesday, March 29 – Sunday, April 3, 2022.

The production features Emanuelle Araujo, in the role of sarcastic Velma Kelly; Paulo Szot, as  the charming and unscrupulous Billy Flynn (a role he currently played on Broadway); and Carol Costa as the “innocent” and surprising Roxie Hart. L. Candido (Mary Sunshine), Lilian Valeska (Mama Morton) and Eduardo Amir (Amos Hart) complete the main cast.
