The November 1 broadcast of 'Katie' will devote the entire hour to ANNIE, now in previews on Broadway. The broadcast will include interviews with stars Katie Finneran (Miss Hannigan), Anthony Warlow (Oliver Warbucks) and Lilla Crawford (Annie), animal trainer Bill Berloni and Sunny (Sandy), original stage and film Annies, Andrea McArdle and Aileen Quinn, and the first network performances by Lilla Crawford and the Orphans (Madi Rae DiPietro, Georgi James, Junah Jang, Tyrah Skye Odoms, Taylor Richardson and Emily Rosenfeld). "ANNIE's Search for Sandy," a 30-minute television special about the nationwide search to find the canine star of Broadway's new production of the Tony Award-winning classic musical, ANNIE, will air on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 on NBC stations around the country, including the 10 NBC-owned stations serving the following markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Washington, D.C., San Diego and Connecticut, as well as the NBC affiliate in Nashville. "Annie's Search for Sandy," hosted by Al Roker, has been produced by Al Roker Entertainment and ANNIE The Musical LLC, in partnership with PEDIGREE® Food for Dogs.

According to the New York Daily News, Tony and Emmy award winner Andrea Martin will play 'Berthe' in Diane Paulus' revival of the Stephen Schwartz musical Pippin, running Dec. 5-Jan. 20 at Cambridge's American Repertory Theater, with hopes of heading to Broadway.

According to a report by The Sun, the new Annie film starring Willow Smith will begin production in Spring 2013 in New York City. The film is being developed by Sony Pictures and produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's Production Company, Overbrook Entertainment. In January of 2011, Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad said in a statement, 'The time is right to bring back 'Annie' to the big screen. Of course, we're true believers in Willow's talent and believe she will be perfect in this role.' Emma Thompson has signed on to write the screenplay.
