Circle Jerk, the Pulitzer Prize Finalist piece, will host special, late-night performances in honor of pride month this June at The Connelly Theater and online. These wild and unhinged performances will begin on June 11.

Tony Award-nominated and five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb has announced complete casting for the rescheduled 25th SUMMERWORKS festival of new plays. 

 Fake Friends, a theater and digital media production company that develops and produces original works for the stage, screen, and internet, will premiere the hybrid in-person and livestreamed presentation of Pulitzer Prize Finalist Circle Jerk.

This August, the historic National Black Theatre will premiere a powerful production that was first introduced in 2015 following a series of state violence that plagued America, as a radio play. HANDS UP: 7 PLAYWRIGHTS, 7 TESTAMENTS  will have its radio play American premiere directed by Jonathan McCrory, NBT’s Executive Artistic Director.

Last year, Sound designer Twi McCallum wrote a 'letter to the industry', expressing the 'grief from a designer's perspective of how we are often not included in this 'diversity' platform, as it is often limited to Black actors, writers, directors, and producers.' Today Twi has released an article to mark the first anniversary of that open letter.

Founding Artistic Director Vincent M. Lancisi, announced today that Everyman Theatre actors, designers, and crew are back in the rehearsal room preparing for the run of Molly Smith Metzler's 2017 play, Cry It Out. The full production will be filmed at the theatre and available virtually to stream into homes from March 1 through April 11. Lancisi will also direct the play.
