Actor and performer Kathleen Turner headlined the Gala, with her one-woman cabaret. Arena Stage is excited to present the Beth Newburger Schwartz Award to Nina Totenberg, in recognition of her ground-breaking reporting in the broadcast world and her continual support of the arts.

In 1995, a group of writers, directors and actors gathered on Manhattan's Lower East Side for what was supposed to be a one-time only event: write, direct, produce and perform new plays within the span of 24 hours. Twenty-four years later, The 24 Hour Plays and The 24 Hour Musicals are regularly performed around the world, touching everyone from celebrities to student artists and raising millions of dollars for charities. Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that they'll mark their anniversary with an intimate production of The 24 Hour Musicals on Monday, June 17th at 8 PM on the Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Center.

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival is pleased to announce that Kathleen Turner, a living legend of the stage and screen, will be the guest of honor at this year's Performance Gala, the festival's annual fundraising dinner.

Off Broadway West Theatre Company ("OBW"), a San Francisco non-profit 501(c)(3) theatre company, is celebrating its 12th Theatre Season by producing Stephen Sachs' play, Bakersfield Mist.  Based on actual events, this play questions appraisals of authenticity in art, and by extension, our relationship to one another.  The play premiered in 2011 at the Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles and enjoyed a three-month run (2014) on London's West End, starring Kathleen Turner and Ian McDiarmid.

Triple threat Garrett Clayton will present a celebratory evening of cabaret, music, and dancing with his all-new show, It Takes Three, at Feinstein's at the Nikko on Friday, June 21 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, June 22 (8 p.m.). 

Spencer Day, the #1 Billboard-charting pop/jazz performer and San Francisco Bay Area favorite, returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko on Friday, June 14 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, June 15 (8 p.m.) with Broadway By Day-an all-new show featuring Day's unique interpretation of Broadway hits, old and new, from his forthcoming album. Tony winner Steve Kazee is set to star opposite Rachel Bilson in Fox's wedding night pilot Lovestruck, according to TVLine.

After seven previous sold-out engagements, Bay Area favorite Tom Reardon returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with his eighth show, Throwin' a Ball Tonight on Thursday, May 16 (8 p.m.) and Friday, May 17 (8 p.m.). Combining his eclectic take on the American songbook with wry storytelling, Reardon will create a musical experience that is the heart of cabaret.

Hailed as a "lovingly tongue-in-cheek homage" (San Francisco Chronicle), Feinstein's at the Nikko is thrilled to welcome the return of Liberace & Liza: A Tribute-starring David Saffert and Jillian Snow Harris as the two legendary performers-on Wednesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, June 27 at 8 p.m.

Richmond Triangle Players continues its season with the central Virginia premiere of David Javerbaum's irreverently reverent comedy An Act of God, opening Today March 1 at 8 pm, following two low-priced previews on Wednesday and Thursday, February 27 & 28 at 8 pm. The production, RTP's entry in the city-wide Acts of Faith Festival, will run through Saturday, March 23.
