The play is an ungodly and irremediable mess, but it does demonstrate the importance of the proposition for which the central character was willing to put his career at risk, i.e., that more care needs to be taken, by industry and government alike, of secrets – their own and everyone else’s.
TheatreWorks Announces 52nd Season Including Two World Premieres

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. South Carolina New Play Festival Announces 2022 Titles

The South Carolina New Play Festival announced the shows for the city-wide performing arts festival in Greenville, South Carolina, August 12-14. The festival will feature readings of Kate Hamill's The Scarlet Letter, directed by Shelley Butler, Kareem Fahmy's Dodi and Diana, directed by Adrienne Campell-Holt, Adam Ben-David, Christyn Budzyna, and Jessica Penzias' musical From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, directed by West Hyler, and Samantha Miller's Dragonsoul Offline. The festival will end with a cabaret from Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett.
Artists Repertory Theatre Announces its 2022/23 Season

The line-up of plays includes provocative work, new to the Portland stages as well as a co-production with Portland Center Stage @ The Armory (PCS). This season, produced in the Ellyn Bye Studio at PCS, will mark the last season ART is “on tour,” as ART plans to move into their newly renovated space in the fall of 2023.
