SOUND BITES 6.0 Award Winners Announced

Last night, Theatre Now New York (TNNY) presented its Sixth Annual Festival of 10-Minute Musicals at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, 129 West 67th Street, New York, NY 10023. SOUND BITES 6.0 grants composers, lyricists, and librettists the unique opportunity to present their work in front of a live audience. This one-night only event, now in its sixth year, showcases 10 new musicals by up-and-coming musical theatre writing teams.

Theatre Now New York (TNNY) is pleased to announce the official casting and full creative teams for SOUND BITES 6.0, the Sixth Annual Festival of 10-Minute Musicals. This year's festival is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 7pm at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, 129 West 67th Street, New York, NY 10023. Jeremiah Zagar's WE THE ANIMALS, Based on Justin Torres' Acclaimed Novel, Opens on August 17

On behalf of The Orchard, you are invited to a screening of Jeremy Zagar's WE THE ANIMALS, based on the celebrated novel by Justin Torres. Winner of the Innovator Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and a top prize-winner at festivals across the country, the film will open in New York on Friday, August 17 at the Angelika Film Center and The Landmark at 57 West. It will open in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Philadelphia on Friday, August 24 with a broader expansion to follow.

2018 Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival Announces Achievement Award Recipient & Gala Screenings

Outfest – the Los Angeles based non-profit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen – today announced its 2018 Achievement Award recipient, Angela Robinson, and its galas, including Opening and Closing Night, for the 2018 Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, presented by HBO. The nation's leading LGBTQ festival will be held July 12-22, 2018.  

Rooftop Films Announces Full 2018 Summer Slate

Rooftop Films is proud to announce our feature film slate for the 2018 Rooftop Films Summer Series, presented by SundanceTV. This year's series will take place May 19th to August 25th featuring more than 45 outdoor screenings in more than a dozen spectacular outdoor venues, with live music, filmmaker appearances, and special enhanced screenings of the best, new, independent films from around the world. The open-air festivities will kick off on Saturday, May 19th, with “This is What We Mean by Short Films,” a collection of some of the most innovative short films of the past year. That screening will take place in the newest Rooftop Films venue, Green-Wood Cemetery.

Wide Eyed Productions' DEAD SPECIAL CRABS Begins 11/17

Wide Eyed Productions will present the world premiere of DEAD SPECIAL CRABS, a comedy by Dan Kitrosser. Directed by Kristin Skye Hoffmann, previews begin November 7 at TBG Theatre. Opening night is slated for Friday, November 14.

The cast for the U.S. premiere of a spectacular new stage production of J M Barrie's beloved story PETER PAN flies into San Francisco landing in a state-of-the-art theatre tent erected especially for this production at Ferry Park on the Embarcadero, opposite the Ferry Building. PETER PAN is the first major theatrical production to transfer to San Francisco directly from a successful London engagement.
