Asolo Rep will close its 2021 outdoor season with Ana Isabelle & Friends in Concert: Stand Back, Sarasota! The concert reunites some of the stars of the theatre's 2017 hit production of Evita. Directed by Broadway's Josh Rhodes, the concert previews April 15 &16, opens April 17 and runs thru April 24 on Asolo Rep's outdoor Terrace Stage, located on the front steps of the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.
The season kicks off with Laura Osnes in Concert on February 5 and 6, with music direction by Fred Lassen.

On June 1, Buenos Aires comes to Louisville when the Louisville Tango Festival presents an Argentine Tango Showcase, Concert, and Milonga. The Seelbach Hilton will sizzle as world-class tango dancers and a live band create the magic of tango. Attendees will be transported to the world's finest tango salons as the stars present live performances and hundreds of tango dancers take to the floor.
Though the songwriting team of Robert Wright and George Forrest is best remembered by Broadway enthusiasts for adapting the music of Edvard Grieg into SONG OF NORWAY and similarly using the melodies of Alexander Borodin to create their score for KISMET, their greatest success came when director/choreographer Tommy Tune took interest in a musical of theirs that fizzled into obscurity on its way to Broadway, then known as AT THE GRAND.

Wednesday, March 21, 2018 was the grand opening of Grand Hotel. I was thrilled to be in attendance and the performance did not disappoint. With the book by Luther Davis; music and lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest; additional music lyrics by Maury Yeston, music director of the Encores! Orchestra, Rob Berman; and directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes; as well as a talented cast, the performance was great fun from beginning to end.
