USA Network has greenlit a seventh 16-episode season of its hit legal drama SUITS.  

Written by Hamilton creator and pop culture icon Lin-Manuel Miranda, the Tony Award and Grammy Award-winning In the Heights, playing now through August 28, opens Aurora Theatre's 2016-17 Peach State Federal Credit Union Signature Series before heading to Theatrical Outfit September 8-18. This universal tale, a co-production with Theatrical Outfit, delivers a poignant message on the power of family and the strength of community in the face of adversity. NBC's Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) travels to Chicago, Ill., in primetime this Saturday, June 18, live at 8:30 p.m. ET, highlighted by a 10-round light heavyweight bout between Andrzej Fonfara (28-3, 16 KOs) of Poland and New Yorker Joe “The Irish Bomber” Smith Jr.(21-1, 17 KOs) from UIC Pavilion.

I had the pleasure of seeing'Rent' a few weeks ago, presented by the Little Radical Theatrics in Yonkers, NY.  This particular production commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Broadway production of Rent and truly demonstrated that the subject matter is as relevant today as it was in 1996.

Brooklyn's acclaimed Brave New World Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of THE IMMORTALS, a trilogy of one-act plays by legendary Brooklyn playwright Charles L. Mee, presented over three weeks, tonight, May 11, through May 26 at Glasshouse, a unique art/performance space in Williamsburg, including five free performances open to the public.

In the Heights, Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical about community and family in a Dominican-American neighborhood in New York City, has a multi-layered meaning for its talented cast. The production, which is currently being presented at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, features veteran television actor Juan Carlos Cantu, returning to the stage after more than 30 years, to act besides his two daughters, Tatiana and Sandra. All three play major roles in the show, bringing the three together on stage for the first time.
